tr8er
One should never EVER do that. Never attach to fender? Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Never attach to fender? Indeed. That's just asking for trouble. Great way to bend a freshly painted fender. Seen it happen enough times that I never do it. I usually cut the attachment arms off the bumper before rechroming them. Option B if you REALLY want it attached, get some nylon bolts. Holds just as well but they break instead of bending the fender. 4 Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
It starts Not bad. Not factory either. Had some other dents that i got done. Ready for final sand and spray. It will be far from perfect but it in itself an improvement on the OG fenders. Will start on the passenger fender next. I want to finish both and spray both at one time. Tis metal is so thin it is hard to make straight. The passenger fender will be done different by welding factory hole first on the car and then making the new hole for arrow light. metal gets wrapped bad and well you got to build up with body filler. I hope the passenger one goes better. 4 Quote Link to comment

Redrumls
There's a guy I met that has some original bluebird fenders with the mirrors. I think he will sell them to me, fingers crossed.. he's into 510's & datsuns in general. Good job on your fender. Greg 1 Quote Link to comment

The Taterhead
Shame. I have a '69 fender on my sons '72 I would've swapped for your later model one so we would both have matching ones. Quote Link to comment
