crazycarrot
Hey everyone, I have been lurking on here for about a year and decided to finally make an account because I finally had something Datsun worthy to post about. At my high schools shop there is a 1966 Datsun 520 that was brought in a few weeks ago that belongs to our teachers boss. the plan is to get it running and i thought why not drag you guys along because there isn't enough 520 on this forum. As it sits, the rocker shaft had badly worn so that's why it wasn't running. The owner bought a new shaft as well as all new rocker arms however, he lost one of the old rocker arms along with the adjustment screw. So as of now I am waiting for some to show up in the mail from wayno who graciously has sent me a few. Here are a few pictures I grabbed today before I went to work. 2 Quote Link to comment

laotsu
that rabbit truck is a gem if it's a diesel, those things are MPG machines. Nice 520, the rubber looks like it's in decent shape. Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Welcome sweet truck. While you are waiting on parts you could give it a bath, clean the engine compartment, clean the iterior and oh ya take some pictures of these areas and post them. Here if you are board you can read up on my 66 520 build http://community.ratsun.net/topic/9197-charlie69s-66-520-build/ 1 Quote Link to comment

The inside ot the motor is all chewed up. Welcome sweet truck. I have read your thread before and love what you have done to your truck. You do some great work. I was on my way to work or else I would have gotten a few more shots of the engine and the interior. I will take more and post them on Wednesday. Over all it's a really nice truck, very little rust is surface deep and it's very stock. Quote Link to comment

wayno
These kits are kinda rare. This one is mine. I cannot say I ever seen a glovebox pull like yours. Quote Link to comment
zed1
Very nice. Could you get a photo of the fuel pump shield and the fuse box Thanks, Keith Quote Link to comment
crazycarrot
I was pretty surprised to find it under the seat, it isn't as complete as yours wayno. It does however still have the original jack and engine cranker? That's the best word I can think of it being called. its kinda blurry, that's why I didn't post it earlier. I have been looking all over for a picture of the same glovebox pull. i will grab a few more close ups tomorrow. Very nice.Could you get a photo of the fuel pump shield and the fuse boxThanks,Keith yeah, I can get a few of them tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
wayno
I have most of the stuff also, do you have the engine crank? Mine came with my U320, you can see the engine crank below the long shaft for the jack. Quote Link to comment
