What's the fastest you've ever gone in a 510?

not a dime but 120 in my 240z Rebello 3.2 with ported SU carbs 241 on the dyno

the car was smooth and had tons of room to go

I just don't want to go to Jail

I got the chance to drive a friend's 240Z with a turbo L28 at a local track day. We hit 140 on the back straight on one lap, which was a mistake. 😄

The car was dead smooth at that speed, but did not have enough brakes/tires to slow down for the tight turn at the end of the straight. Ended up forcing the car into a spin to scrub off speed, slid to a stop, jammed it back into 1st and kept going. He was in the passenger seat laughing the whole time...

I had my old 510 wagon up to about 90 once on a stretch of the 1-5 headed towards San Diego.  I understand now why very few people use them for any type of speed contests.

It's all fun and games until somebody shits their pants.
