Dat Lurka
I'll keep it simple. Last night I drove home in this 1978 B210GX. It has 105k miles on it's Nissan re-manufactured A14. The odometer reads and I'm guessing it has 305k miles. Previous owner received the car from a fanatic and being the last of his collection it came with a lovely stash of NOS parts and spares.Overall it is in good condition and complete as far as I can tell. Blah blah blah PICTURES- That should hold you for a while, junkies. 6 Quote Link to comment

Dat Lurka
I feel fantastic. Been without a Datsun for too long! I wasn't sure what to expect from this car but WOW what a driving machine! It is certainly not under-powered. 1 Quote Link to comment

Dat Lurka
Thanks. It really is one of the nicest cars I've owned. Tomorrow I'll wash and detail it and maybe get the rubbing compound out. Also have a significant problem- It has a whirring sound from the rear end that you can hear in the video. Filled the diff and the wheel bearings seem okay. Is there some common issue here? A bearing needing replacing?" Quote Link to comment
wayno
OK you guys, will you enlighten me on what the "GX" means, I always associated GX with dual SUs and a 5 speed. Quote Link to comment
Dat Lurka
Grand Luxe special Quote Link to comment
Sierra
Is that an A15 engine? Quote Link to comment

Kirden
Wow that's awesome. This may sound strange, but can you snap a pic of the fuel pump? Anyway, very cool ride. Were you able to hold on to the starion as well? Quote Link to comment
Dat Lurka
A14. Plan is to restore it. It needs seats and body work. Some 15" rims and lowered 2 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
All North American B210s came with A14 except the first year which was A13. Only in the B310 was the A15 used. GX means Grand Luxe Special and is a trim level. In Japan the GX had either single carb or dual carb. In North America single carb only. 1 Quote Link to comment

laotsu
I'm groovin' on the louvers no matter how much you wash the car or the dog it'll always be The Dirty. http://youtu.be/aSVHj941mJQ Quote Link to comment
Sierra
I asked about the engine because the only A series engines I have seen with those aluminum hoses and that type of air filter housing are the A15's. Maybe the GX model came with them too. Just curious. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kirden
That's probably standard on the Nissan reman units. From my experience manufacturer remans usually use the accessories from improved/later designs. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Aluminum hoses? Do you mean the stainless steel tubing over the distributor? All 1975-1978 B210 came with it for the AIS system, even if they don't have an air pump. Quote Link to comment
Dat Lurka
Worked on the paint a bit. Before and afters. Still needs lots of work but I like the color B) The window regulator was in the back next to a new one which was easy enough to figure out how to install. Had to drive around all day with my hair up This is the worst of it. Well, at least till I get pics of the spare tire well. Plenty of metal left to work with though! Some better interior shots. Working on cleaning it now. A/C  Everythingis there but the compressor is frozen. Looking for replacement Needs seats. The driver seat is badly damaged. But most of the interior is excellent Another before and after of teh paint Enjoy 2 Quote Link to comment
