FirstDime
Canby was awesome, had a blast even though i was busy with my car most of the time but i met a bunch of great people and traveled up with a bunch of homies..... Had an awesome co-pilot with me too, she fed me and took care of the music all the way  About 600 miles into the trip we hit Salem OR and said goodbye to my rod bearing.................... :frantics: :frantics: :frantics: the knock was so bad we decided it was best to flat bed the car the 30 miles to Canby then risk doing anymore damage to the crank........... And we arrived at Canby like this................................ :baby: 3 Quote Link to comment
FirstDime
Once it was unloaded it was time for a beer and disassembly....... #2 took a beating :w00t: At least the crank journals looked good though  Had Napa across the street order me new rod bearings the day before so we would have them in time. also picked up a bunch of odds and ends to get the job done. Tendril gettin a good look at my under carriage  oil pan cleaned up, looked good and didnt have any big metal chucks in it or the filter. Rag10 cut open the filter to get a real good idea of how much damage was done before we went any further, he advised it looked good and to go ahead. Added a KA oil pump also for more flow, was only $5............ got to love Canby for shit like this  $1 for a 240z mirror in good condition, yes please... i let Kalani borrow this one for the ride home as he did not have anything....... we got my water temp in the dash all fixed and hooked up, never moved pass the E the whole way home. Also got my oil pressure gauge hooked up, reads 30 at idle and 60 when you are driving    kept my eyes on these the whole way home to make sure we didnt have any issues.. Made the trip home without any issues, car drove better then it ever has. Felt strong and had a great drive home. Shout out to Rag10 for getting my car fixed, without him i would have been FUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We also won the Hard Luck award for all our troubles :P 7 Quote Link to comment

datphu
Sweet SE-R! I had a '93 that looked just like that. Fun little car, but way more fun when you throw in a T-28 turbo out of a GTI-R! Some initial upgrades you could do pretty easily is to swap out the front brakes and radiator with those from a Nissan NX2000. 1 Quote Link to comment

thisismatt
NIce work. Rubber is the way to go on T/C and LCA bushings. Poly doesn't have enough give and you may end up with broken T/C rods... 1 Quote Link to comment
