smoke
Like the tri-power on the 620, don't see that much anymore on a track car/truck. What will the 521 have for a mill? More pictures would be cool. Quote Link to comment
GreenD21
Check the build thread I linked. It's running a Chevy V8 built by Ohio George himself!! There's a ton of pics in the build thread. I linked both build threads for both trucks. Read up! Quote Link to comment
smoke
Ah, missed that. Looks like 441 iron heads with a stealth dual plane with a demon carb on the 521 for those playing along at home Quote Link to comment
datson4life
521 are naturally more beauty than a 620, how bout a video of them going at it at the track? 1 Quote Link to comment
wayno
I am bias, I like the 521s, what's cool is that I get to see how they did it. :) Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
There should be a "none of the above" choice... JK B) 3 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
its not fair to make us choose!!! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
521 are naturally more beauty than a 620, how bout a video of them going at it at the track? NOT! The 521 has an aggressive no nonsense utilitarian look while the 620 is the 'iron fist in the velvet glove' truck. In no way could the 521 be called beautiful, but it definitely has it's rugged charm. 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
Was wondering if the owners of these trucks have a guesstimate of what time they will be putting out in the quarter? Quote Link to comment
Fat510
the shackle length on the 521 is pretty wild 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
the shackle length on the 521 is pretty wild Yeah, it's going to be a bit unstable laterally. Due to the blocks installed to take off some of the height the shackles made, I am assuming he is trying to increase the spring angle to influence anti-squat. I say that because I have seen guys do it before with that same thought. However, What influences anti-squat is the point where the theoretical line drawn from the contact patch through the front spring mount intersects the vertical line at the polar moment (the center of the vehicle’s weight). The back of the spring doesn't have any bearing on that. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
um kudos .... im a 521 guy so theres my vote .. .but not a Gasser datsun fan ... sorry ... lots of nice work though 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
So if you like the 521 but not the motor/drivetrain under it what do you choose? Well you just have to watch a NASCAR event. No, not eat B-B-Q and get drunk on beer with a sun burnt neck. I mean cheer for the chev or ford or w/e even though there is nothing remotely chev or ford or w/e about the car. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
There is no Ford powered choice so i voted for Pat Paulsen. 2 Quote Link to comment
