mcordero8
I haven't updated my build in a while, but here is the last thing I did to my truck. One of the first thing I did when I got my truck I cut my stick shift to make it shorter, and I think it looked okay, but I am always looking for ways to make it look better, so I went online and I found this short hurst shifter and I decided to modify it to fit my truck. Here is a picture of how it turned out.20150318_195931_resized by [url=https:// I think it turned out good. What do you think? 6 Quote Link to comment
teagueauto21
Looks good! What did you have to do to get it to fit? 1 Quote Link to comment
mcordero8
I cut the bottom end of both the stock one and new hurst one, and welded the bottom end of the stock one on to the hurst. Its a little short, but I think it looks cool. 1 Quote Link to comment
teagueauto21
I like it I might do something like this if I decide not to use the one I made. Keep up the good work! 1 Quote Link to comment
mcordero8
Finally, I was able to take my truck out for a spin. It was kind of cool a few people gave me the thumbs up and told me that they really liked it. 9 Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
A while back I was checking out the 620 stuff on ebay and I came across some old school floor mats. Now these are the same floor mats that my Dad had in his truck when he gave it to me, so when I saw them I said I have to have them. Check them out and let me know what you think.20160204_170211 by Mark Cordero, on Flickr20160204_170647 by Mark Cordero, on Flickr20160204_170656 by Mark Cordero, on Flickr 7 Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
Thanks, now I am going to work on some door sills. The stock ones are so thin and flimsy. I want to make some thicker ones out of some aluminum stock and polish them. I will post some pics when I'm done. 1 Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
So when I first started building my truck and trying to find parts I looked all over for a good set of sill plates. Trying to find a good set of sill plates is like trying to find a unicorn, or a good dash on a 620. They just don't exist and if they do you are paying a arm and a leg. I decided to try and make my own with some thicker gauge aluminum. The ones that came with the truck are about as thick as a beer can and you can bend them pretty easy. So here are some pics of what I did. Let me know what you guys think.Sanded them down with 2000 grit and polished them up.Passenger sideDrivers side 5 Quote Link to comment

mcordero8
Thanks, I wasn't sure how it was going to come out, but I thought I would try something different and I like the way they came out. They are not perfect, but I think they complement my truck. 1 Quote Link to comment
