2014 Datsun "Go" What do you think?

For those of you who didn't know, Nissan is relaunching Datsun in indonesia. I think its great that they're making the Datsun name again, I'm just hoping the quality lives up to the Datsun name, and that they make their way back to the U.S.. It also brings us one step closer to a new 240Z... But what do you guys think? Yay or nay? is it possible it would bring a Datsun revival if they were to be made in the U.S. again? Increasing their fanbase and maybe making reproduced parts more available? probably a long shot. but give your opinions. I'd like to know how my fellow Datsun fans feel about this.

It isn't coming here but maybe in China, Russia or India. If it came here it would cheapen our Datsuns.

im aware it isnt coming here. I dont know if they may have plans to eventually start production in the states in future years. just hypothesizing. and Im sure if at some point they release a decent sports car over there people will have them imported.

Keep hunting. Again-wrong coast.

sucks. i do love these things. theres a restored 60's datsun pickup around my area. i needa hunt the guy down sometime and ask him about it. i know his daughter.. its a BEAUTIFUL pickup. i also saw a 1982 210 merging on the interstate behind us a few weeks back... theres a 75 210 in the pull a part. would the interior parts from it be potentially interchangable between my 81 210?

all these datsun is coming back should be morphed together with the title capitols that says Datsun is coming back

with that said I have heard this is geared toward a 5000 dollar market and in the USA with all the government regulations I dont think there is any way possible to get anywhere close to that

I say this with any Datsun news related item... if the news is more than say a day or two, its been posted on this site already. And by a week its been posted at least 3 times. This is a site devoted to Datsuns. At least one of the 200 active members is on the ball and jumps on any news right as it comes out.

We appreciate your enthusiasm though. Welcome to the site. Lets just lock this and OP can go update his build thread or something.

I think yes

If this hopefully prototype tried to enter almost any real life driveway it would leave about 3 pounds of mangled front air dam on the sidewalk.  This "stuff" [better than the originally intended "S" word] may look good on the turntable at Tokyo, Los Angeles or New York but it would not survive the real world of Building Permit required driveway entries.

So

A purpose built car isn't practical

The splitter is mean for maximum downforce, meaning little road clearance. FYI it always look good

except in the city, thats like having a cheetah as a pet, only the rich can afford it and not worry lol
