smoke
AND...turbo lag is a horseshit term used by people who don't know how to build a turbo engine, so they make up for it by running the hole under their nose and using the word "lag" to try and tell you why their non turbo engine is better. 3 Quote Link to comment

While this is mostly true, it doesnt mean that NA doesnt have advantages over turbo as well. Different applications for both. But someone using "turbo lag" as reason for why their NA engine is better, probably doesnt know how to build engines in the first place. Quote Link to comment
smoke
Just out of curiosity, can you name an advantage to an NA engine? Quote Link to comment

q-tip
Seriously though, depending on the degree of build an n/a engine can be cheaper to build and maintain. But that of course is going to only be to a point Quote Link to comment
smoke
It's why I don't drive. Cheaper. 1 Quote Link to comment

tr8er
I'd be pissed the fuck off if I put my car in a car show, and some asshat tagged my engine. And the advantage of a non turbo engine is the lack of a turbo. 8 out of 10 issues in my turbo engines are turbo related. I love driving a turbo, and the fuel economy is boss, but if you wanted to rejoice a non turbo engine, that would be the key right there. Quote Link to comment

Well, right, but...it's not super uncommon for a turbo to go 300k miles. I get you're point, but even that is a bit of a reach I think. Quote Link to comment
