according to my googeling yea, soviet boats.

originally a 42 cylinder (6cyl x 7 banks) with 7 overhead cam shafts, radial diesel.

12k lbs of mass and just about 4k hp.

 

but if that one really has 126 spark plugs it would have 3 per cylinder, and wouldn't be diesel anymore, so that bish is modified MUCH.

I'm a bit surprised I got that right, I totally pulled it from my butt, just like this next statement............

This "MAY" have come with plugs. Some of the old diesel engines had a valve in the cylinder that that would open another chamber, lowering compression and exposing the spark plugs. They would fire it up cold on gas, once it got warm, close the chamber and feed it diesel. It might be one of those engines.

That sir, is exactly correct. I have seen old diesel stationary engines start like this too, its a bit odd. I used to work around a lot of old stationary stuff (and I mean old, older than any person any of you have ever met). At the Rough and Tumble Historical and engineers association.
