RatVonDude
anyone else think that this^ could work with this^ Its a carb from a Suzuki 1200 bandit motorcycle. About $120.00 on ebay as apposed to $1200.00 from Redline ( or something like that ) Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Is your 1200 a stock build? This chart says the A12 should be in around 26-28 mm for throat bore size on the carburetors per runner. RatVonDude
I dont have a 1200 Datsun, mine is a L 16 but was just thinking that there really isn't any reason that a 1200 cc motorcycle carb wouldn't work as a side draft carb for a datsun b210, Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Yeah they are sweet looking on an A series engine. That chart will tell you where you are for a L-16. 1 Quote Link to comment
smoke
They would work very good and since the are a CV carb, would be very responsive. 3 Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
a lot of people are going to bike carbs because of the availability just have to make a manifold 1 Quote Link to comment

JoeCool
I painted my intake manifold and exhaust manifold today and test fitted my Weber carb and 10" Edelbrock air cleaner. It looks like engine porn to me! I still have to get the right adapter plate and studs along with a few other parts. I need to polish my valve cover and do some cleaning but oh well... But here is the real engine porn... 2 Quote Link to comment

Mattndew76
The work on that is very impressive. The Billet :w00t: Holy shat that is a ton of machine time put into all those parts. The size of the common plenum is huge. Where is the fuel supply coming from? Quote Link to comment
smoke
See, those two, small, square boxes right on top on the blowers? Those have a injectors in them, that's the fuel. That big thing is more of just a super fancy air cleaner. Well not an air cleaner but you get what I'm saying Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Gotcha. I can see the concept. The big cake pan should go bye bye for some fancy tubes in its place. But I see the beauty of what has been done. Quote Link to comment
smoke
It's nice work, but yeah, it's a faberge egg of a car that spins on a mirror, not my thing either. Quote Link to comment
