It may be fairly easy to work on, but certain things take time and money... my engine swap to a L20b took 6 months (I am also away at school so it kinda sucks) 3. engine upgrade for something that is EFI: 2.5K plus, Coilovers for track use: 500+, new trans and drivetrain: ???, upgraded exhaust system: what ever floats your boat, rising sun hood: $5 4. Tits are the greatest things ever... next to the el dizzy, side draft carbs, and being moar lowar 5. why do you have 44 posts and already have a new ratsun nickname thingy mabobber... total rip off :fu: 6. did I mention it will take lots of money to get it where you want 7. expect lots of rust8. buy a Miata.... they are cheap and just as easy to work on. more power, cheaper upgrades, and a shit ton of fun. my friend has one and I love it when he buys parts for me to install since he is not mechanically inclined. 9. good luck Link to comment

This got me wanting a 510 for racing. ................. *sigh* I'm thinking a grand or two. I don't wat to have nice paint or anything just incase something happens :rofl: good luck with that.... esp in socal. You want to 'race' a 510 because you 'raced' one on a video game????? Your questions show you know nothing about them. This will end up very bad for some poor 510. Please...... this. I'm 6'6 and have the body of a Greek god, the looks of a youthful Brad Pitt, and the charm and charisma of your average used car salesman. I found Yoga and Pilates was an excellent way to get my statuesque body into any Datsun! Gotta say, I think a Volvo would be more suitable for you methinks. I have racing experience with a 90 civic hatch when I was younger (and smaller). I'll most likely use it for autocross so the only thing it can hit is a cone. My first car was a 1990 Honda civic hatch. I had it when I was 15. I swapped a b16a into it and I raced it at California speedway and Infineon. well then,, in real life, 510's are horrible drift cars .... :rofl: I can drive in a race environment.
