wayno
That might leak a little, but over 90 percent of the exhaust makes it thru the muffler. Quote Link to comment
Royal Sierra
It leaks quite a bit. I'll have a new section made tomorrow. I also took the truck by Harolds house, (the old man who gave me the truck) and hes so hard of hearing I guess he cant hear me knock. He told me to bring it by when I got it running and this is the 3rd attempt. I think I left a note last time. Shit when I picked the truck up I went into his back yard and knocked on the windows to get him to come out. Wouldve tried harder but I had to pee bad and promise to help a buddy pull his L16 and was already late. 1 Quote Link to comment

Royal Sierra
Parts porn. Clackamas auto parts cleaned it up, blocked off all the emission bs for it. Cant wait to run this intake. Since my truck has a w58 head, and already has a weber 32/26, I think itd move pretty good with an L20b cam. As soon as its not my daily I start tinkering with it more. Also replaced fuel filter since the last one had about 5k miles on it, which obviously isnt really a problem but I figured all the shit and gunk from the hard lines and the tank after sitting from 20 years mightve gunked it up a bit. 1 Quote Link to comment
abbylind
Damn I wish I could Find an Offy dual port! Had one on my 74..it was great! 1 Quote Link to comment
Rhino13
I may be reading it wrong, but are you saying you want to put an l20b cam in it? Because a w58 is from an l20b. 1 Quote Link to comment

Rhino13
is it? I was told those were from replacement l18s Yeah, w58 is the smog head with the exhaust inserts. If it maybe says w53 I believe those mainly came on L18s but are harder to come by according to literature. I just picked one up, but currently run a w58 which works great for a hobby truck. Biggest difference is w58 is open, w53 is closed. 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
From what I've read and seen.... the u20 cam is pretty universal in a lot of heads.... the w58, w53 even my crappy old 210 head... all had a u20 cam... 1 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
This is what I run Canon 2825, Weber DGEV 32/36 bolts on with no adapters. Beats the hell out of the Offie small port dual plane. http://www.ebay.com/itm/AFTERMARKET-CANNON-INTAKE-MANIFOLD-WEBER-32-36-L20-DATSUN-510-610-710-620-PICKUP-/162479115648 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
There is also a stamping on the back of the cam. Usually A, B or C on a U20 cam. It's been a long time, but I think the C cam was the better of the three. The U20 cam is essentially a SSS cam and is a decent upgrade that requires no other mods. 2 Quote Link to comment
Royal Sierra
7,000 hours later I got one finished. Cutting plexiglass with a steak knife is a real pain in the ass. 4 Quote Link to comment

Royal Sierra
I got a bed cover for the truck. Before you ask, its off of a late 90s ranger with a 6ft bed. Only problem is that the bolts for the clamps arent long enough so ya gotta get longer ones. The clamps sit funky on the bed but it works. It was $115 on ebay shipped and feels like a decent quality deal. I said fuck it, threw it back in the box cuz I was to tired to to drive to the hardware store after ive been driving all day long. I also went to a carpet outlet place to get black carpet for the truck. I got a 12ftx5ft piece for $6.24. The place is at 92nd & foster. Had to redo my door cards also since I didnt use enough glue the first time. Will post up pics when done this weekend.. If all goes well new floor pans should be welded in from a fabricator friend wjom owes me a favor. 2 Quote Link to comment
Royal Sierra
It fits but the clamps are fucked...barely too narrow. Gonna cut the clamps tomorrow to make them fit. Looks great though 2 Quote Link to comment
