Cosmonaut
I think you meant to say... ^_^ Ummmmmmmm, leeetttssss seeeeee here.... Opel GT debuted in Germany in 1965 as a styling excercise. Many infact state that the "poor mans Corvette" was actually the reason that body style of Corvette ever existed. And now for the Datsun 240z......Yamaha first approached the Nissan Automobile Company to sell it's design...but Nissan declined due to the fact that the 240Z was already in play.... At that point Yamaha contacted Toyota, of which they quickly scrambled to put together a car that may compete with the likes of the coming 240Z (Oh Yes, Toyota was well aware) and of course they all new that the Opel GT had been shown and was about to be produced. Toyota.....Dollar late and a dollar short when it came to the GT game.....SORRY 1 Quote Link to comment
angliagt
1950 166 MM Barchetta, and it's one of the first cars ever to wear the Ferrari badge There was a '53 Ferrari 375 M near here, that was hidden away for years. I knew the owner (Lou Brero),but haven't seen him in years. Bruce McCaw has the car now,& had it restored years ago.Do a search for "Lou Brero Ferrari",& you'll see what I'm talking about. 1 Quote Link to comment
