THEa10wagonsss
Anyone have stock a10 coils I could get measurements off of I'm most likely gonna get them made and for whomever asked if they sag or not someone decided to compromise ride quality with ahstetic styling by cutting my springs so I need new ones Quote Link to comment
Fat510
I do but I don't know where they are because I mixed and matched the springs from my wagon and parts wagon to make my "coils" and I don't remember if I cut coils off the set that is not currently on my car Quote Link to comment
THEa10wagonsss
Well shit, I hope after this coming winter I want to get started back up on the old beast cause I wanna drive it next summer but I gotta get the suspension, brake, and floor parts stockpiled so I can start putting them on the car come nice weather, NY is a real dragg Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You can use just about any coil that fits the strut top hat and lower perch and is close to the spring rate you want. I trimmed my 710 coils to get a 50% increase and its firmer but not at all crazy firm. Trimming the coil may lower the ride height below what you may consider aceptible (or maybe not enough) so the lower spring perches can be cut off the strut to make them adjustable up or down. They are held in place with split collars. If you do the work it's under $30. Quote Link to comment

flatcat19
Robo- Still going through with the KA? I have the radiator that came out of my Zpowered A10. Perfect for your KA. Trade for the L mounts you have? Quote Link to comment
mhub91
The Z series radiator won't work. I tried a Z20E radiator and the upper radiator hose inlet turned to the wrong direction. Best to use a KA radiator. Fits much better. Another issue running a Z series radiator is that it's way too thick and it's very possible it could interfere with the clutch fan. I didn't use a clutch fan, I used an e fan, however, i remember mocking up the Z rad with the KA clutch fan and they were millimeters apart. Not a good idea. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Upper outlet points the wrong way? It sticks straight out. Quote Link to comment
mhub91
Weird... The one I had pointed to the right. From a Z20E 1980 200sx Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Must have been from something else. Hve had two ('80 and '81) 200sx both pointed straight out at the top and were on the right side. Bottom L rad hoses sometimes point to the right to help clear the alternator. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Mine is not from a 200sx. A10. So, again-perfect fit. If it didn't fit, he'd be out the shipping cost of the motor mounts. Scrapping the radiator would only meen profit. It's a win/win. Quote Link to comment
mhub91
Hm... Interesting... Either way, the 240sx KA's radiator is very low profile and fits behind / under the core support nicely. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Thanks for fucking me out of motor mounts, dick. Quote Link to comment
mhub91
What exactly do you need? There's a couple L series 620s and an L series 720 (1980) in my local PnP. I might be able to help you. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Need the metal mounts from an L A10. Same ones I asked you for and have been asking for for a while. Quote Link to comment
mhub91
Why would you need these? I don't know of any swaps / reason you would need them? Unless you have a 210 and you're swapping in an L20 / L series. But in that case, you would also need an A10 engine xmember? Quote Link to comment
Fat510
What I would do is take some measurements, a welder and make the goddamn motor mounts. If it was me, I would have the motor in the car and sold it already. Use your skills as a fabricator, man the fuck up and fucking do it. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
sold it................... my ass. Just the other day there was a 76-78 b210 with a L20b in it up at a guys house and they hadn't switched any crossmembers out at all, they just made if fit with what they had... It apparently has been on the road for years now. cut it out weld it up 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Yes. 210 w/an L . I have the A10 member bolted in. What I don't have is a welder. What's so wrong with wanting to just have the right mount? And, I am never selling this 210. Or cutting it apart. 1 Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
I was talking about FAT selling ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well,,,,,,,,,, anything really. If you weld in a mount that works,, it becomes the "right" one. Your not quite a whole man,,, without a welder. 1 Quote Link to comment

If you weld in a mount that works,, it becomes the "right" one. Your not quite a whole man,,, without a welder. This I know. It was cheap, generic welder or an air compressor. I chose the latter. Make more money with a compressor. Do need though. And the radiator I have. Robo, was 2 months old when I got my A10. And we all know what happened after that. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
And, I am never selling this 210. Or cutting it apart. Says the ex A10 owner 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Says the ex A10 ownerWho's parts live on in the 210. Needed an A10 to L the 210. Always part of the game plan. Quote Link to comment
