PineClone
I'd like to replace the rubber bumper ends on my '78. Is there any source for these other than keeping a constant watch on CL or Ebay? Smaller bumpers all together would be desired, but dressing up the existing bumpers is probably easier and cheaper. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
RedBanner
Scrap the bumpers! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Nissan might still sell them. They have some parts older the B210 still. But it's dressing up a poor bumper. Instead of paying $100 for two bumper ends, just buy a small bumper off eBay worldwide. Quote Link to comment
Kisor
No Bumpers!!!!!!!! Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Right, they order them. Like with most parts. > they didn't have record for 1980 210 Your dealership is lame. 210 parts are in the 2012 Nissan parts catalog. Quote Link to comment
king bee66
whats the part number, he could just order them from http://www.nissanparts.cc/ correct? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, they are pretty good, but I suspect they have stopped ordering them from Japan too. Nissan's parts system is all messed up. It seems to have started when Nissan canned half their OEMs. 1 Quote Link to comment

I will go check that out! now am excited to see what they have (: thanks! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
This doesn't mean the parts are available, it only means your dealer is lame for saying he can't find info on a 1980 210. Quote Link to comment
Mike210
If you are able to get those bumper ends, please let me know as well. I could also use a few ends for my '78. Quote Link to comment
BrooklynAnnarkie
I know this is an old thread, but I'm in the same dilemma. However, I've seen some bumper endcaps for Datsun pickups that look darn close to my 80 210. I can't help but wonder if they'd fit. Haven't had the courage to try so I'm still on my quest for stock end caps. Quote Link to comment
MikeRL411
For what it's worth! I made end caps for my daughter's Toyota 4x4 pickup by cutting up Kitty Litter plastic jugs, painting them flat black and bolting to the existing mounting holes. Flimsy, but a visual "maybe OK." 1 Quote Link to comment
Sierra
I have a set of two if anyone is interested PM me. Quote Link to comment

bob3d
78 b210 , I used bumper ends from a 1990 mitsubishi montero. They fit perfectly and are a stronger material. 1 Quote Link to comment

Cleopatra Jones
A lot of the parts guys at the Nissan dealership are freaking lazy arses! There's still quite a bit of NOS 210 parts. B210 I have no idea but I've gotten all kinds of 210 parts. I have a parts guy who actually loves trying to find the stuff....he used to have a 510. Just have to keep trying different dealers until you find one willing to do their damn job. Quote Link to comment
Sierra
Each time I have try calling the dealership and I tell them the year of my car they come up with the same F-ing response. Oh! our system does not go that far for parts. It makes me angry that they don't know how to think outside the box. Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
They're full of shit and too lazy to look. When I started my resto 2 years ago I went to San Bernardino Nissan and asked for a part and the dude didn't even bother to look. He just said we don't have those parts :sneaky: I called up another Nissan in West Covina I think. He pretended to look. Next one, Universal Nissan, dude found the part. The very same one the first fool said they didn't have. Fucker! Quote Link to comment
hurricane14
Vallejo Nissan parts guys are old school and are used to working Rebello Racing. Very helpful and don't mind looking up parts. They regularly find parts for me from the factory, bring them in to their location at no charge and then I pay over the phone once they get the total with the shipping cost from them to me and send it out. Sometimes takes a little longer, but the convenience is worth it if you have the time, especially if no one else is helpful.... Quote Link to comment
Cleopatra Jones
I called my parts guy. He said they no longer have any bumper pieces for the 210 or the B210. For the B210 he sees the number for the front bumper but the rear number is just no longer in existence. Quote Link to comment
PineClone
I'm interested in getting more detail about the Montero bumper ends. The OP hasn't responded to my PM...They seem to be readily available at junk yards. Just not a junk yard near me. Quote Link to comment
