EastBay521
Bolt the tranny up that will hold it where it needs to be 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
That's what I was thinking. But then it would twist the rubber mounts. I think. It was a pain in the fucking ass getting it in. Tomorrow I'll get the transmission on... Don't really want to pull the ka but have installed a trans from under the truck before. 2 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
if it's that far off maybe get someone to fab some offset mounts? and yeah, looks twisted to me too, and kinda tilted 1 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
No offset mounts needed. maybe some homework should do the trick 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Oh snap! EB with the zing. 2 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
i don't have a 521 or a ka motor so i don't know. was just hazarding a guess 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I can see that it is leaning towards the driver's side, which it is supposed to do. Z and KA both lean the opposite way of L's. But through all of this you are making little mention of how bad it is leaning. Are the mounts on the correct side? Facing the correct way? 1 Quote Link to comment
EastBay521
I believe they are. driver side mount is marked with an L 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
They can only go on one side. Mounting is different on the motor for the mounts. So they are on the right sides. To me it seems like it's leaning to far to the driver side. The mount that I bought is said to work for the de in a 521. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Beg Eastbay for some clues then. 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
The mount that I bought is said to work for the de in a 521. Um... I don't know how different the 2 are as far as mounting them needs to be. 1 Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Dang :-\ hows thw oil pan look? I have an extra 3/4 inch spacer thay will sit under the passenger side chassis mount if u wanna try that, worked for my last ka swap 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Did it without a pan. Hahaha Now that I'm not home I look at this pic. Or may be touching. 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I'll try the spacer forsure man thanks. Think I seen a picture of a ka swap 521 with 620 rubber mounts. And I think Redeyes mounts call for it. 1 Quote Link to comment
datson4life
Woah, looks almost as if the stock mounts might work lol 1 Quote Link to comment

EastBay521
I didnt pay attention to how much of a tilt the engine had. D4life has been through it he will take care of you 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
This might be a truck ka-e driver side mount not a 240sx one. Kinda wanna just start working in the garage but sleep has been avoiding me.. Past two nights I've been working alone. When we work alone we were told we make 5 more dollors then normal... I got a raise from 12 bucks the other day... and I'm killing on hours. 10 today and 12 yesterday.. things are starting to look better. The mount isn't a big deal to me. I know I'll figure something out.. blackmarkit told me once I see if the transmission fixes the problem and it doesn't he'll take care of it. So that's pretty fucken bad ass. Haha Well.. off to sleep maybe. 1 Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I will be building one the same way, truck block with car intake. Just not this one. Thanks Redeye pictures should help me out a bunch. Even tho I think I know where most things go. Haha I am a slacker. :P Um... I don't know how different the 2 are as far as mounting them needs to be. They are the exact same mounting pattern. The motor is clocked wrong in the engine bay. It is rotated too far this direction Did it without a pan. Hahaha Now that I'm not home I look at this pic. Or may be touching. The bottom of the block should be parallel to the cross member. Dang :-\ hows thw oil pan look? I have an extra 3/4 inch spacer thay will sit under the passenger side chassis mount if u wanna try that, worked for my last ka swap The blackmarkit mount is supposed to replicate that 3/4" spacer so I think he would have the same issues. I have a stock car mount at home I can measure so you can compare if I don't forget  2 Quote Link to comment

uberkevin
Well once I get back from blueberry/blackberry picking I'll go see if the other mount I have is different. Redeye I'm pretty sure I have a 240 mount.. somewhere. 2 Quote Link to comment
