uberkevin
Could use some advice. Was going to put my non used pistons on some ka rods I have well heres where I stopped.. On every new pistons there isn't a place for a C clip to hold the pin in place. But there is on a used set of pistons I have. 1 Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
I can't remember clips building the lz . Why does one ka pistons have snap rings? Should I not worry about it and just get them on the rod? Wait I need to get them pressed in huh? Haha 1 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Your LZ does have clips. You have truck pistons or aftermarket pistons there. 1 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
These 2 types of pistons have 2 types of pins (wrist) floating and semi-floating or stationary. uberkevin
I'm thinking d21 ka24e pistons. And you need some ka pistons Eastbay? I could probably with that. Quote Link to comment

Please read. http://garage.grumpysperformance.com/index.php?threads/piston-wrist-pins-one-really-over-looked-part.978/ Hey thanks I always like a good info read. But I still don't know if I should put these in the ka I'm building now. Just get them pressed in. Just seems odd and seems like the pin would come out Ha. Quote Link to comment
uberkevin
Cleaned up a set of used pistons I had. Came out good. Checked rod and main bearing clearence and everything turned out good. So now I've gotta clean up one more time and put everything back in and the bottom end will be done. About to place a oder for some arp head studs for the Ka-e, I'll put new valve seals in the head while I wait. 1 Quote Link to comment
