datsunfreak
Did you get those lights off ebay? I can't seem to find those anywhere... Maybe I'm just searching the wrong words... :hmm: Quote Link to comment
ProjectFeint
Did you get those lights off ebay? I can't seem to find those anywhere... Maybe I'm just searching the wrong words... :hmm: Ebay Australia, don't think they are for sale anymore though... Not too uncommon considering most every aus spec 610 got these turn signals... They are sexy as hell Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Check ozdat.com and look in the part out section for any 180b's being picked apart. Quote Link to comment
zerow
Did you get those lights off ebay? I can't seem to find those anywhere... Maybe I'm just searching the wrong words... :hmm: Or eBay.co.uk... Datsunfreak - The AU and UK lights have the square connectors for the lights...your connectors will be round and will require re-wiring. Plug n play ;) Plug and Play for those of us with '73 harnesses, you might say... Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Plug and Play for those of us with '73 harnesses, you might say... Ah yes. I couldn't imagine trying to run these without the proper 73' wiring(or splicing in different connectors). Good catch, Sarge. Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Was going through some recent pics today and found this one; not really an update, but a recent pic. Oh ok, fine. Here's something a little more "Project Thread" worthy.. Mad props to jesusno2 on flipping this crossmember for me. Sexy welds along with some gussets he threw on for extra stability. You're the man! 5 Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Decided that the factory coin tray was cool and all, but I wanted something more than the hum of the L18 to listen to(not that there's anything wrong with that). There's nothing sexier than a stock looking interior, so I opted to keep it factory in appearance. The guts of the factory 610 AM radio(in case you were curious). A bit different then that of the 510, so I needed to reinvent the wheel that was provided in the "How To" section on modifying a factory 510 radio for MP3 use(http://community.ratsun.net/topic/55621-make-yer-very-own-aux-input/) In the 510's radio, the wires you're looking for are the Blue, Red, Yellow, and Brown coming off the volume/tone potentiometers. In the 610 radio, there are Green, Yellow, and Black wires, with different style potentiometers, so I had to do a little more testing and trial before I got it right. Seen here is the cluster of wires in the 610 radio that come off of the volume/tone potentiometer. Just like the Red wire on the 510 radio, you're going to want to "T" into the Green wire on the 610 radio. They are polarity sensitive, so be sure that you run the Black wire that goes to your shunt to the potentiometer side of the circuit. The Red wire to the shunt ties into the other end. Be sure to solder and shrink wrap your connections. Pic of the shunt. I like to have too much wire rather than too little, so I routed the excess neatly in the casing. Ran the wires out of the case through a small hole that wouldn't pinch the wires.. All that was left was finding a ground and installing. I'm satisfied with the finished product. 5 Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Looks like I may be able to get away with this combination.. 240sx isolators and later style(74+) 610 lower mounts.. They put my pan about here.. 3 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
That's pretty good placement. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Yeah  Probably end up using them as a pattern for fabricating mounts that will bolt to the crossmember using the existing holes. Still not bad for using factory pieces, however ;) Quote Link to comment

MicroMachinery
Last night after work, I had a few minutes to do some housekeeping. Removed the grille.. Removed the center support... Removed the horns... There was some junk in the grille, stuck in the radiator, so this gave me a chance to get at it... I figured while I was at it, I'd see how this old thing fit in there ;) B) 2 Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
If you do boost it, please figure out how to get the center support back in. Driving with that out is bad news. Quote Link to comment
