Doctoraudio
Are you done yet? Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
Use bubblegum.Hahahaah! To prevent that kind of problem, use plastiguage and always measure the bearing crush. Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Damn. If the bearing clearance wasn't wrong, I'm assuming that you just lost oil pressure to that rod. Did you hot tank everything before you built it? I only ask because there may have been something lodged in an oil gallery that caused starvation in that cylinder.. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
The rods were hot tanked. The block not so much... Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Crank? 1 Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Crank was polished, and I am pretty sure it is shop policy to hot tank everything that comes in (Steves Precision Machine), but Derek would have a better answer about that... 1 Quote Link to comment
Doctoraudio
I asked and he says the crank and rods were hot tanked. The block not. Quote Link to comment

Draynor
Alright so "H5WAGON" and I got the L16 back in and running today...A long 11 hours :hairy:Ended up doing a little bit more to the L16 than we originally panned. After cleaning it up we decided to paint it, as well as some other parts. Got the timing cover, font crank pulley, and rear main seals on.Got dark fast. Got the motor to barley start, ended up being one tooth off  Fixed that and it fired right up :cool:Wow I miss my car, Drives, handles, brakes, and feels so much better than the truck  It felt so low after being in a stock height 620 for 2 weeks  5 Quote Link to comment
