Does anyone have any good tips on breaking in an engine??

Would the drive to Canby be a good break-in for it??

NOOOOOOO!! no sustained RPMS!!

rev up, and rev down, drive the bitch like you stole it and run her hard, then back off and run her hard again

kinda like rough sex :D

yup, the break in oil i bought from royal purple is good for 500 miles so i figured id break it in as long as i can before canby!

Should I be using a special break-in oil??

I read straight 30w is good.

Personal preference ,, I just use the oil i'm going to use normally . If you ask 100 people you`ll likely get 100 different answers.  Google it for giggles, there is no answer <_<  it`s like trying to find the meaning of the universe . :D

straight 30 is what I used years ago

was told non detergent for the break in

I used valvoline

no sustained rpm

fast  faster fastest and repeat

seriously just try not to drive at 4000rpm and keep it there try to mix it up a bit

drive in 5th then 4th then speed up a bit then slow down a bit

and maybe google for shits and giggles

your daughter is adorable and does great work ( Did you see that shrink wrap )

now if you can get Kendall to finish painting it you are golden

That's what I've heard most people use. 30w not detergent oil. That's what I went with.

Thanx.....makes me so happy that she's interested in what I do.

Don't think we got time to paint the rest of the car......I only have tonight left cause I'm with my kids tomorrow night and we're leaving early Thursday(hopefully).
