I hate how the big ass bracket has to hang over those BEAUTIFUL carbs I worked so hard for......... .........so............ I took apart the stock linkage and robbed a couple rods from the Z........ Then I removed the e-clip and put the pivot in a vise to give it a little tweek I put the pivot back on the bracket up-side-down.... I had a couple different options for linkages on the carbs. I took the one on the right, broke the tab off, rotated it 180* and installed it on the carb..... Then I put all that shit together..... Bonus oics......I changed the position of the spring.............. 1 Quote Link to comment

It raised my car 1/8".........mer. Found something else I can use till after Canby...............I need to shorten these struts bad....... No...it's a stock cam.........I think......as far as I know it was a stock L16 when I acquired it. I was gonna ask around to find out what a good mild cam would be for this car?? Noticed something today.......... ........the more I drove the more full my tank got.............talk about "Datsun Saves"!! ....................I think my sender is in up-side-down. Busta Nut Posted June 11, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 11, 2013 Best weekend I've had in a loooong time!! Couple issues on the way but nothing that would stop me from makin' it. Above is me replacing my lower alternator bolt in the Black Bear parking lot in Redding.....we heard the old one fall on the road....just didn't know what it was at the time. Next stop in Grants Pass...I got off the freeway a couple exits late....pulled over to text.....then heard the hissing......awwww fuck Right as I was clearing my trunk to get my spare out.....Erichwaslike popped in and offered me a ride down the street to Les Schwab Tires. Huge save....Thanks a lot, man!! Affter about an hour.....dude brought me to the back and said the tire wasn't repairable...it tore too many threads cause this was in there... I was looking at it then told him that it was fine. I have been doing this for 20 years and if he didn't want to he can move and I would do it, pay him, with no reciept.....as if I was never there. After a couple minutes of back and forth he finally agreed.......I let him do his thing..........then he didn't even charge me......Right on Les Schwab!! B) Quote Link to comment
