So whats the scoop on this filler neck?  It looks like a good fit, and this is something I should be getting done soon too.

Also what is the color code of that orange?  My '71 was 918 orange originally, it looks close to yours.

Better have her back in action by Sunday! Sunday!! SUNDAY!!!

Got the filler neck from Napa....we have Napa ProLink here so I just searched their inventory until I found one that looked like it would work.

This one has a 2" diameter and is 4" long.......got a hose on order that I think will work.......I'll have to make some kind of plate to get it to fit properly.

Can't remember my color code....I got that shit written down somewhere....I'll have to find that and get back to ya.

Oh I'll be there Sunday!!!!!

.......I'll just cap the tank off if I have to.

OK....here we go...

I did it this way because I didn't want to change/hack into the body of the car......my dime is beat up but it's all there.

I think this is everything I needed to put this filler neck in the car.........

- 2 1/4" fuel hose

- 2 1/4"-2" hose adapter

- filler neck

- scrap piece of aluminum

- couple hose clamps

- fuel cap

This is how I wanted to mount it......I was thinking of using the breather part of the neck also but there's a lip that leaves a gap...

.....I could just grind it flush.....but don't want to incase someone starts making the OE ones again.......so I made a spacer.

When I marked up spacer some of the holes were right on the edge of the filler neck....

The neck had a lip on it so I pounded  it flat to get more room.....

I also drill the holes on the neck smaller so the screw fits through the body and spacer to grab the neck....

Found sheet metal screws that were small enough to fit through the body and the spacer but grab the filler neck nice and tight.....

Cut all the hoses from the EVAP canister and removed it.......

Put the hose adapter in the hose and cut the filler hose to fit......cut the tank end at an angle because it does make a slight curve...
