MicroMachinery
Ah, gotcha. I did a rear pan for my KA. Definitely better than flipping the crossmember for a number of reasons. Isn't the E pretty close to the L-series pan? Is it just the bolt pattern that's different? Haven't messed with em much.. Quote Link to comment
Skib
. Definitely better than flipping the crossmember for a number of reasons. I concur Isn't the E pretty close to the L-series pan? Is it just the bolt pattern that's different? not sure I havent pulled it off and looked yet. thoughts crossed my mind tho. got plenty of work to do before I get around to the oil pan. AtomChurch
I just drilled out the a-arm pins and flipped them. With a drill press it was no problem at all. Though having the pan more protected would probably be a better Idea. But since they make new sway bars that fit the front sump that is not a factor. I don't like cutting the center of the cross member which is why I just fliped the pin mounts. It was easy. Quote Link to comment
Skib
yeah they make em for the front sump but DGR is no moar and shipping from AUS sucks koala balls. if your flipping the cross member doing the pins is the way to go. Tom brought a drill press for the shop but the jig as long been MIA. for me personally its simpler to flip and fab a pan. its more labour but Ill be happier with the end result. Quote Link to comment
AtomChurch
I think phil has the jig somewhere. I left it down there but I think he brought it home with him. I would be nice to see that again. haha And my tubing cutter. Quote Link to comment
