wayno
I just seen Jason at the same pick and pull, we both went to the North yard after that, and that is where I got these photos. I can see it is sticking out even in this photo below Jason, I would fix it. 3 Quote Link to comment

You quoted me before I edited my post, I heard they were a bitch to fly, but I just read some more about them and it is said they flew themselves. Sure were a lot of them wrecked launching and landing though. 1 Quote Link to comment

KiloTango1200
Yes.I belong to the Collings Foundation-here is our inventory: http://www.collingsfoundation.org/cf_aircraft.htm The C-47 is the Military version of the DC-3. The Collings Foundation is dedicated to preserving American air power for future generations. I had the honor to tow the Collings Foundation F-4 across Houston Hobby Airport to be the center piece of a very large hangar party/fund raiser, along side the last flying Lockheed Constellation. Later it was the Grand Finale at the Power of Houston fireworks and laser show. At the time, it was the world's largest fireworks/laser show, and this big bad boy came in at 500 knots over downtown Houston, pulled to vertical, lit the afterburners and blew out 4 million ear drums as it accelerated, aileron rolling, straight up through 40,000 ft. Still gives me goose bumps 20 years later. 1 Quote Link to comment

Loren O
The DC3 I posted is at a shop called Aerometal International. The restore old,& service old planes, etc. They take care of several that regularly fly out of the Aurora Airport. I would love to be even a small part of working on one of these DC3's. It has been a dream of mine to go for a flight in one, since I was about 8 years old. Maybe if I post Thier sign, for some free publicity, they will let me take a ride in one. 2 Quote Link to comment

KiloTango1200
Advice from an old airplane guy. Go in telling them you can make things happen. Then show them know that you can make things happen and solve problems. Ask the old guys to to teach you everything they know and learn what they are are saying to you. That's the only way you will be able to solve the problem! 3 Quote Link to comment
