Jesse C.
This is as far as I've made it, to cold in the garage... That is looking really nice! Are you leaving it at full windshield or cutting it down some? I am thinking of cutting mine down some like the BRE car. Quote Link to comment
RATDAT3
I am interested in a couple of them. I want to cut the roof off one of them and make a BRE style racer Anyone wants some, pm me.... Quote Link to comment

I have some wheels off a Dino that will look a bit like mine. Quote Link to comment
Jesse C.
I thought about removing the flares as well, maybe re-shape them with some JB Weld Quote Link to comment

125 CSL
a surf patrol wagon! These photos, taken from one of the conference rooms at the Mattel design center in El Segundo, California, show the 2017 mainline release of the ’71 Datsun Bluebird 510 Wagon casting in its latest colorway. We had no idea the design team was planning something like this, so forgive our inner 5-year-old as we embark on a complete freak out. 3 Quote Link to comment
125 CSL
On February 18 there is a K-Day event happening, and for every 20 regular Hot Wheels you buy, you’ll be able to send in your proofs of purchase for this exclusive Datsun 510 that won’t be sold in stores. If you don’t know what K-Day is, here’s a primer. In short, it’s a collector’s event that happens only at Kmart stores, in which exclusive colors not found anywhere else are offered. They happen several times a year, and you’ll typically have to compete with other collectors so your best bet is to get there a little before the 9am start time. This 510 is a little different. It won’t actually be at the K-Day event, but you’ll have to buy 20 Hot Wheels cars that come out of K-Day specific cases with a special UPC (bar code). Then you must open them and send all 20 cardboard backings in, along with payment for shipping. Here are very specific instructions from the official Hot Wheels website: To get your Collector Edition Datsun Bluebird 510, just follow these instructions (but please read the Official Rules for full details): Buy 20 selected 1:64 scale Hot Wheels mainline (basic) cars at participating Kmart locations and from Kmart.com from 2/12/17 to 3/31/17. Cars must be from the assortment numbers listed on the OFFICIAL RULES. Mail the original cash register receipt(s), 20 blister cards (the entire cardboard piece, but not the car or plastic window) for each vehicle you order (limit of ten vehicles per household), and the completed order form, along with $3.50 US shipping and processing for each vehicle you order (check or money order only, made payable to MATTEL) to: Datsun Bluebird 510 P.O. Box 1229 East Aurora, NY 14052 http://s7d2.scene7.com/is/content/Mattel/Hot%20Wheels%20Collector/01_Downloads/KMart%20Promo/Feb2017DatsunPromoRules.pdf http://www.hotwheelscollectors.com/news/datsun-bluebird-510-buy-20-hw-cars Quote Link to comment

Most of us were bitching a couple pages ago because all of our K Mart's are recently closed. Just found out we have another survivor K-Mart in a very rural area of San Diego County. I guess it will survive until they open a Walmart. Sadly I did not have a chance to stop and look around. So, anyhoo, the next special edition from WALMART!!! is.... http://www.hotwheelscollectors.com/news/collector-edition-1987-toyota-pickup-walmart-mail 2 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
Are the Aussies pissed that hotwheels isn't making much in the way of classic oz cars? I could go for a sandman toy. 2 Quote Link to comment
VFR800
Not sure I can speak for all Aussies but I know there's been Matchbox AUS based cars made before now. Hot Wheels being a USA based operation I suppose is not likely to focus on any Aussie cars. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
When I was in new zealand I was looking for 1/64 holdens, but even the matchbox cop cars were dodge chargers :( 1 Quote Link to comment
