620 Tailgate

I'm sure some of you have seen this.

It's a NOS 620 tailgate on Eblay. What's the deal with the hooks? they're open on the top. The tailgate is blank too. Is this the Japanese version? The guy said he bought a bunch of parts from a warehouse. (closing)?

Steroid told me that alot of the 620's sold in Japan didnt have the stamped letters on the gate. Also those hooks do look different. This may be the real deal JDM NOS gate !

I had some other people tell me it's a repop. He has a hood still in the box and it says 'replacement parts' right on it. :( Nothing marked Nissan.

Everything is NOS today. Strictly speaking it should made by Nissan, in a Nissan box with Nissan numbers. BTW the Nissan # is 93400 B5100. This is a repro. I myself wouldn't buy it simply because it doesn't have the DATSUN on the back, fuck shaving.

 

This is the next best thing. I bought it from a lady in Victoria. Her father bought a '77 new and removed it the next year when he installed a camper on it. The tail gate was wrapped in a blanket and stored in the attic since '78. Drool bitches!!!

You could put it up on ebay amd someone restoring a 620 would love to have it for a resto project... Onlyissue is the only ones still working on datsuns are our broke asses. I'll bid 20 bucks though ;)
