thanks :)

not that much knowledge, just free time. the work is worth it! keep going

speaking of time, ive got a lot less now :( plans were to shelve this and work on another car ive got cos it was gunna be easier. im hung up on its rear cradle at the moment and now i want to work on the ute again. seems stupid to ignore motivation when its tricky to find it so im sorta gunna work on both

i packed all the engines and some spares into the tub which makes it tricky to work on. the canopy is on it too to protect from rain, looks stupid :D now im working on getting those engines in a shed ive got but ive gotta make a sort of offroad dolly to get em into the shed. since my crane doesnt work good on grass. doing that at the mo. after that the ute will be low again, ill work to legalities (maybe), wheels will go back on and ill start working on the transmission crossmember so i can sit the FJ in see what i need to do. intake manifold looks like its going to be close to the brake booster, which would normally worry me but ive been getting some sweet schooling with welding through work so aluminium wont be a problem soon

finding time, motivation and progress is tricky but it'll get there

mannn years are flying by :(

its still in the shed, safe and warm next to the 510. i've had a lot of other priorities and less time thanks to work. i'm slowly working on finding more time but things are getting in the way pretty frequently

well photobucket has shit itself finally, and it wouldn't let me download my albums ('something didn't click'). i've managed to get all the images back, but all the links in the previous posts are going to be busted. not overly keen on going through 1400 or so images so i've uploaded them to this album if theres anything useful in there you want to see:

isuzu trooper rear discs, pretty sure i can remake the brackets for the handbrake and use it in reverse kinda. basic test seemed to work ok, this way i keep stock handbrake cables. maybe

cleaned up the rear brackets then figured out the park brake hookup. made some cable retainers, proof of concept is good ill make something that looks a little nicer though. went and got a decent hood the other day too, got it from a guy putting together a mid engine 620 with a VG30DETT for drifting

You did an awesome job engineering the parking brake cables. But wouldn’t be easier to swap the calipers from left to right ? That way the cable has a straight shot.
