  1. I used air shocks once, they were good for keeping the ass end up but I felt it hindered handling when doing spirited driving, (aka driving stupid fast on twisty windy roads).
  2. I totally agree with datzenmike, you are misinformed and delusional about this, that is why trump is trying to bully Canada.
  3. I thought my 510 would be a 5 year project, it's gotten bigger. I started in '22, be prepared for it to take longer and to have other things come up and sideline things for a while. Good luck, persevere and it will be a great little truck.
  4. Are there measurements available for the 240Z one? It just has to fit in the hole where your broken one was, so just needs the to be the same size.
  5. I just chose Idaho because according something I read recently it had the highest rate of people moving there, some other states were close, and Frank has shared some of the problems he's experienced because of the influx.
  6. You understand the drug part of the problem but it's bigger than that. Not all people become homeless because of drugs and not all homeless people are on the street.
  7. Maybe we need to start a home and garden thread, these are kinda cool, then we can show why we weren't working on our Datsuns.
  8. For the most part they can't work, it's been tried. Hating and blaming them is useless, changing the systems that put people there would work but doesn't happen because it supports the wealthy. Your lucky you don't live in Idaho where the wealthy have been moving in and increasing land values thus property taxes, so local businesses cater to the wealthy, increasing prices, then they start fussing about the way the long time residents live, until you can't afford to stay in your own house but can't afford to move. Just saying.
  9. Because the cost of housing is to high and a personal/ medical/ job crisis can put a person/ family out onto the streets where it is very difficult to recover. Drugs could be the crisis but it usually is in combination with other factors. Head injury's and mental health issues affect most homeless people.
  10. After you mentioning rain I read this as The lightning make the rust look worse. Don't go out in the rain and lightning! Then I reread it, oh.
  11. So previous to my wife sanding the fender I had made a couple of patch panels, one for the outside skin and one for the inside support member using the original fender. When laying the outer one on the replacement fender I noticed a little more rust so I bent a little filler piece and welded it in before cutting off the bottom for access to the inside support. I bolted the fender on lightly to align the inner patch, and tacked it in place before taking the fender off again for fully welding. The fender went back on for scribing, then off for cutting then back on to be tacked in place then back off for final welding, and I didn't bother taking pictures because I just wanted it done. While my wife was sanding for me I was cleaning and sanding the rust on the inner fender area, then treated it with rust converter. I then went onto cleaning up the cowl area as well. I was able to paint the inner fender but I didn't get to the cowl till tonight. I'm just itching to get some color on the panels to improve the looks.
  12. My thought is the fluid is not flowing back out of the caliper after taking your foot off the pedal. There are little flow back check valves where the lines come out of the MC but as both units do the same thing I doubt that's the problem. The most likely cause I can think of is some crud is stuck next to a fitting and you dislodged it on the right side when bleeding but not the left side... yet. Bench bleeding gets a bunch of the air out before connecting your lines so you don't have as much to remove after installation, it doesn't cause the caliper to stick. I hope this is of some help.
  13. The 610 started in the '73 model year, mine was built in Sept of 72, and ran till 76. The 710 started in 74 and went till 77. The B210 started in 74 and went till 78, then became 210 in 79. The F10 was just around for 76 to 78 I think, and the Z cars were happening too but not in my budget range.
  14. My wife wanted to help today so she sanded the replacement fender, and as we were talking I mentioned that I had seen this commercial comparing the 710 and pinto wagons, since her Pinto came up in the conversation, and she laughed. It was just like her first car a Pinto wagon. I think she is claiming half ownership of the 710, I think I'm good with that.
