HRH
Nice wagon, but needs to get rid of that stock Hitachi crapbox carb and figure out a way to get the rear camber under control. With that amount of negative, it can't handle well. Quote Link to comment

fisch
So sweet! This says it all: "The type of people that modify their cars to have this "rat" look don't purposely do it. They get these cars looking ragged and beat up. But rather than fixing it up to be clean and hiding the wear, tear, and most importantly, it's history, they choose to keep all that exposed. Why hide history? History builds character. If you build from history, you'll find that you're always in a better place." Quote Link to comment

Moisabamf
the article said it has an L28. im assuming that it is a typo? "The engine bay houses a stock L28 and stock 4-speed transmission." Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Looks kind of long for an L18 on the frontal shots but the side shot looks right. Edited December 27, 2009 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
fisch
Only 4 wires though. I am thinking l18 Quote Link to comment

Duncan
That poor thing needs a power makeover! :D I suspect the car is a '76 or newer and subject to Cal-smog. If it is, that would be tough to even change to a weber carb.. Pretty cool wagon, though.. Quote Link to comment
HRH
Wait a minute, '76? That has to be smog-exempt by now? In WA it's 25 years and older. Even if cali was 30 years, it should be past that now. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
If I recall correctly, only 1974 and older is exempt from smog testing in urban areas of California. That is state law, so it only applies to California. And there are smog-legal C.A.R.B. (ca air resource board) conversion kits for weber DGVs, so that is no problem. Quote Link to comment

Sadly, they haven't moved up the year for a while now. :( BTW, this is a 1973 model, he is good for whatever mods he wants to do... And...You should have seen this car when it was on eBay (pre-mod, of course). It was extremely clean, but this is hella sweet! Edited December 29, 2009 by zerow Quote Link to comment
Nas
Dope, indeed! Love that pic you posted. A lady stopped to talk to me about my truck in a parking lot today. She was telling me how much she missed her 610 wagon, which she sold to a guy who was going to turn it into a race car. I told her to try to find it, buy it back and go racing! Quote Link to comment
