I found that a thing called a V-ATE, Don't know a lot about it, but it seemed to help me a great deal! So they for sure sell medicine for it! Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
Drove the goon to work today, felt a little funny so I took an opera unity on a slow Saturday to get it up on the lift...... Guess the alignment shop I use was off with there specs... So that meant new front tires and an alignment :/ Nismo Dr did the alignment for me and I mounted and balanced the tires Much better now!! 2 Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
theres always something -.- this time the ignition control module decided to shit out.... thanx to micro for running out to the goon and making a diagnosis Izzo glad you were up at 1am so i could grab parts, same goes for Leacaon, much appriciate the late night parts run ;) but in the end its just a datsun, so side of I5 in the rain or safe home in the garage they are always fixable ;) so once it was back up and running Jessi got the valves set and a new valve cover gasket in I set in to find out why the breaks diddn't feel right IMO, they are an upgrade kit Mklotz makes and these were the 1st set so i kinda have a test dummy responsability ;) ended up finding this...... hmmmm so jessi ground off the lip that diddnt belong and I sent a msg to Klotz, dude is crazy smart, im sure i fucked up somewhere along the way installing em last but not least, took the goon out for a shake down run to make sure its good to go b4 i take my tools to portland to finish up my dads truck couple more small things, new pads, and carb tune over the next few days, if your in eugene come say hi ;) 3 Quote Link to comment

Eagle_Adam
On to the brakes and their oddities Ended up tearing them apart, realigning them, fresh pads, new fluids. Mike, to me they seem to line up fine now, time will tell. I have a set of the old pads for you tho. We should meet up 1 Quote Link to comment
mklotz70
Sounds good. Different suppliers mount the pad material slightly differently on the metal backing pad.....maybe that was part of the reason? .....I don't remember there being much "slop" in the holes that would allow the calipers to shift much. Would be nice to find out for sure......then I can be a bit more aggressive trying to sell them. :) Quote Link to comment
