  1. I'm loving the white lip rims on that truck! Gives a great oldschool hotrod look! Also, welcome to... THE LEFT FENDER CLUB!!
  2. sorry to threadjack, but what is this hatch called for an S130?! Looks really cool!
  3. It is a weber DGV main jet which is the same main jet in the R1 carbs. 180 main jet = 1.80mm hole, you can use a 1.8mm drill bit and drill out the stock 138 jets if you want. 160 for 1.6liter, 180 for 2.0 liter. .
  4. @schassisowner, Hey I missed your reply, the cressida has still been running great ... Have not had another problem with it, runs strong, just hit 6400RPM this morning. An update on the issue, I pulled off the valve covers and checked the cam bolts, one of em was very slightly loose, I tightened it and have not had any problems since. Requested image of said cressida. This is from last year, it has not changed since then. Its dropped approximately 1" from stock. Does 110 in 3rd uphill and keeps pulling in 4th...
  5. I have an old, rusted, corroded, sitting for years magnaflow with 2.5" system, still sounds awesome.
  6. or maybe bring the frame rails narrower and make bigger wheel tubs? Massive steering lock, yo... This is really, really cool. I say supercharge or twincharge the L16!!!!
  7. @Datzenmike, wtf carbs are those!? FYI R1 carbs are easy to come by... I found mine within a few days on CL at a decent price.
  8. ^this. Black smoke? Too rich now! What jet size did you put in? what jet size was in there before?
  9. Its been a week, I'm starting to worry. :( Or maybe I'm just addicted to pictures of extremely low 510's.
  10. Does it revv in nuetral? gummed fuel lines/carburetor? I'm assuming since you just put it in the fuel tank is nice and clean, fuel filter clogged? Ignition system working nicely? timing good? Pull fuel line from carb and feed it into a bucket and crank it, does the fuel squirt out nicely?
  11. This car... http://speedhunters.com/archive/2012/03/15/car-feature-gt-gt-canyon-carving-king.aspx Makes 680whp out of a 1.8 liter toyota motor...twincharged. I wonder how much you can build a Z bottom end? maybe a Z22 to high revvs and handle all that power?
  12. No, TWINCHARGED, supercharger feeding a turbocharger. Instant boost throughout the whole rev range. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twincharger
  13. One of the reasons I wanted R1 carbs is because of the option for boost in the future... I've seen some crazy boosted snowmobiles with R1 engines on youtube. I wonder how well a twincharger setup would work on an L series.
  14. @VintageRice, Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but dont the DGV jets stop at a 2.00? If so you can just get a ton of spare DGV jets and some 2.10, 2.20, 2.30 drill bits and widen out those jets for the larger engine.
  15. Hey, how much was that manifold, and can you have another one made and shipped? Everyone I've talked to has said either they cant make it for me, or its going to be ridiculously expensive. Thanks.
  16. Lash caps are stock... No idea how to measure to find the correct size for my cam. Hainz, I dont exactly have a spare head sitting around. I set the valves to 0.006 int/ 0.008 ex cold and still makes lots of valve noise.
  17. @Sealik, so NFG(not fucking good?), I should replace rockers and fit proper lash pads? Thank you...
  18. The question, is there anything wrong with my valvetrain? If there is, how can I fix it, and if there isn't then WTF. Thanks for help, now for some pr0n.... .
  19. cam int/ex lobes are the same... 40mm at longest point, 33mm at shortest point No not a typo, Olddatsuns says to set 0.08 INT/ 0.010 EX for cold specs.
  20. OK the cam says this; D1-272-2-10-NC CRANE 162 18 88 the valves springs are double, I will get pics up in a few minutes. I adjusted the valves cold to 0.06 INT and 0.08 EX, it runs nicer now! Still, valves started making some noise after a drive...
  21. Stuck in Los Angeles on business. Looks like it was a nice turnout.
