  1. Just figured I'd throw this out there.... if ya know what I mean.
  2. I try not to mention it on the webz, but I co-own a '73 Challenger. Part of the reason I'm poor. It's a nasty little car. Cordoba 360 .30 over Big cam- unknown specs Police interceptor heads- Ported, with big valves. Stepped long tube headers Stock Torqueflite trans 4:10 gearset etc. SO much fun to drive.
  3. You need to run a compression test asap. Cold though. Then retest when its warmed up.
  4. Dr. Pepper pwns your Datsun yo!

Im actually thinking it was JRock sneeking into the bottling plant after first shift and rubbing his crusty dog all over the cans.

  5. Thanks man! I'm hoping all is well, because theres no way in hell I'm gonna take any shit from him :poop: Fixed. Come on down!!! To be honest, I had no idea until we talked about it. He's not like your typical spoiled rich kid. He keeps his hands out of daddies pocket. Bough his own car and works a full time job to pay for rent with a friend. He's a good dude. Too late to take it back now! :poke: :ninja: :w00t:  Sorry mate, someone's already called one for his Z car!! :console:
  6. The last 2 years I've worked at AZ I've never had a warranty issue on a CV axle. I will agree though, if they're not making noise just rip the boot off, wipe out the grease, and toss in some new grease and boot.
  7. http://www.wsbtv.com/videos/news/hundreds-gathered-for-final-drifting-event/vHGhG/ ^^Today was potentially the last drift event in Atlanta. I couldn't show up because of work, but it was pretty big from my understanding. We had several pro drifters including Vaughn Gittin JR. and Joon Maeng today rallying support for our cause.
  8. The bolts for the bracket to car?
  9. Still looking. Ignition timing is out the door here. We've tested the distributor by swapping a new one since it was available and we've gotten no change. I'm thinking cam timing is the next possibility. Slack on the timing chain allowing it to skip a tooth? I don't have much experience here, so anymore advice is appreciated. What can I do to check this? I'm valvetrain ignorant and I know nothing about 'timing marks' and all that good stuff.
  10. Man this thing is making its way around the country. I really wish I could afford to keep it. It would make a great race motor addition.
  11. Damn you had that thing running smooth once you got it running for a moment. Congrats! hard work pays off.
  12. Picked this up from another user via trade a few months back and I've decided it's not the route I want to go for my truck. It's a large 44mm inlet port, long runner Nismo manifold. From what i can tell it's never been mounted on a motor. I've started sanding and polishing it, but haven't had the time to finish it up. It looks fantastic to start. It's intended for Mikuni/Weber carbs. Here's the identical manifold for sale new. http://www.nissanrac...ducts_id=332705 Price is $200 +shipping. Pretty firm on that, but always willing to entertain offers. In the top picture here, you can see port diameter in comparison to the 52mm lens cap. Very large intake ports.
  13. Thanks man! You're gonna enjoy the hell out of it. Photography is such an interesting hobby to get into. I love it to death. I doubt I'll ever be a pro or anywhere near it, but I'll keep working my ass off to get better! Yessir! 3 inch blocks coming soon. I need to order my air shocks at the same time, or else I risk cutting tires on the fenders. The air shocks will give me a little more support. ALSO coming soon, I'm liquidating all of my leftover Datsun parts for CHEAP including that Nismo manifold and I'm getting a closed chamber A87 head w/ a big Racer Brown cam.
  14. Kinda getting bored with my ghetto bracketry. I'd like to have some legit Weber brackets for the L20B. EDIT: Sorry posted in the wrong section, can a mod move this please?
  15. Long time no bump. I'm going down for her graduation in a few weeks and it will be the first time I've seen her in about 3 months. Her dad's gonna be there as well, so it will be VERY interesting to see what happens. Not quite sure how to react when he confronts me so I'm kind of nervous about that. I don't want to loose my cool because I don't want to start drama at her graduation. Step-bitch won't be there for sure, and if she is I'll DEFINITELY have something to say to her. We're doing good I suppose. It's just about time I see her again. I'm taking a week off of work and I'll be down there for a week. Not sure what we're going to do long term but I know that all we're worrying about right now is the current. I'm looking at a house with a friend down in Brasleton, GA about 5 minuets from Road Atlanta. Nice 12 acre property with a 4 car garage around the back. $1.2 million property, but luckily my friends dad is a rich millionaire that runs a disaster relief company that struck big at the BP oil spill. His dad offered to pay the mortgage as long as we can pay for the utilities and everything we need. It's a good size house, so we'll have a big group of close long time friends living with us. Needs a little love, but love is what we can do. No loud annoying neighbors, no one around to bother us. A few minuets from an active racetrack, so the sounds will be great. Pretty excited about that factor.
  16. Really? Didn't know Nissan still has them available. The extra little bit of money is well worth it.
  17. HOLY crap. I bet that thing was idling like a sonovabitch at full advance.
  18. If your mechanic can't find a radiator, you need a new mechanic. Seriously. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Spectra-Premium-Radiator/1979-Nissan-Datsun-210/_/N-imgt1Z8ii30?itemIdentifier=217042_233208_0_ You don't need a mechanic for your 210. Get greasy man! It saves you all kinds of money.
  19. FYI, the Autozone stuff is VERY cheap and very thin. Don't expect it to last very long. You seem to have done a very good job though.
  20. What do you mean? The lot has been used for legitimate racing for the last 10 years. This is not new to anyone. We've been Autocrossing/drifting/racing the lot since the city allowed it over 10 years ago. We race the lot because it's historical to us as well. Ever since early 2002 when the lot was paved, the city of Atlanta has allowed events there and we JUST had one less then a month ago with over 4K cars. The talk wasn't to ban motorsports in general, it's simply against drifting. There were no issues raised until the new housing complex started construction. So yes, they are moving in next to a race track.
  21. To be honest, I think it's mostly a case of 'damn those stupid kids sliding around in my parking lot.' The parking lot we drift on is historical. It's whats left of the famous original Turner Field. They tore it down and build a stadium in an adjacent lot. Now it's just a parking lot. In my opinion, I think they're just picking on us since they don't see what we do as a motorsport. We Autocross there including a few other random sports, but this is the only one that's come up as an issue. We're tearing down the wall the legislators are building around them. Formula Drift is happening on Road Atlanta as we speak and will be happening tomorrow as well. We've picked up a huge amount of support here through other drifters. The fact is, if we don't stop their push to ban drifting we'll potentially loose every motorsport in the area. Drift, Autocross, SCCA events, etc. http://vimeo.com/41582622
