  1. I have a serious addiction to shiny things. I put on a new rad cap last week and noticed my heater valve produced a steady leak, and my upper radiator hose started seeping, so I went ahead and replaced them both. Went ahead and polished the lower housing up and put on new hardware as well and painted the radiator (as seen above) after cleaning it up and straightening out some fins. Little by little it's starting to look MUCH better under the hood.
  2. Welcome to teh internet. Home of the trolls. Nice truck! You're gonna need to find a few things. A: Pedal assembly from a manual truck. B: Clutch master and hard lines C: Clutch slave D: Good 4/5 speed transmission. I THINK the auto had the same length as the 71B 4 speed which matched the ZX 5 speed. E: Good clutch. Exedy makes a good clutch. I'm sure I'm missing something here.
  3. It's a 2.0L N/A FWD. Still a pretty sweet car regardless. It has some pretty gnarly suspension travel stock. Don't know a whole lot about it, but that thing is pretty tits.
  4. Nice man! Innovation rocks. What did you bathe it in?
  5. My buddy just bought a '91 Plymouth Laser. Cool little car. Gonna rally the shit out of it. Your's is coming along nicely.
  6. Maxima calipers maybe? Gotta google pics.. EDIT: Nvm, those aren't it.
  7. See, that's what pisses me off the most about Autozone. They expect you to stand at the register, ask for an Autozone rewards card, offer bulb grease, brake lube, and fuel injector cleaner for EVERY CUSTOMER (only if they're buying applicable parts though, ya know?) and still manage not to piss off the customers. And you're graded on it. I'm not good at selling something I don't believe in. I can sell anything. I'm good at it, but Autozone makes it very hard to sell parts to someone that actually needs it. That's my same thought process. I mean, come on now Autozone... if people wanted it, they would buy it. That fuckin sucks man.
  8. Just gonna leave these here... I'm making new door cards using some nice vinyl backing I bought for a nice bit of $$$ from a quilt shop. Also testing out some paint. I happened to be walking down the paint isle at home depot and spotted this. It's nearly perfect match to what I have now.
  9. Can't :( going from the 14's to the 15's was a big step in my final drive. I can't go back down to 14's now. lol I'd be going to slow.
  10. Thanks man! That was another favorite of mine. Very raw, unedited. Perfect lighting.
  11. Nice truck. Seems like a pretty good deal considering it's condition.

  14. Just about time I blow up Ratsun with some of my random photo's. I'm gonna be hanging with some local photo guru's soon, so I hope to see a drastic improvement. I'm starting to catch on and see a lot of my photo's being passed around the internet, so I figure I must be doing reasonably good. Anyways, please feel free to share opinions on my pictures. That is, afterall, what this thread is about. You don't have to be a photographer to tell me what you like. 15. That fucking grey bottle "restore" stuff? God I hate that Autozone tries to force us to sell that kind of garbage. Last sales period were some cheap 'microfiber' rags. Eck.
  16. :geek: I don't even know how I'd respond to that. LOL What autoparts company do you work for?
  17. On my L20B I'm running 2.25 exhaust size out of a shorty header. I've got a 2.5'' Flowmaster Super 10 on it now, and it sounds great but it's LOUD. Between the stock manifold and the header, I noticed an overall decrease in my top end, but I got a little more bottom end and mid range (strange, I know) and didn't notice anything when I went from my stock 1 7/8'' to 2.25''. 2.25 seems like a good idea since there's a possibility you'll get a KA in there soon, since that's probably optimal size for a mildly stock KADE anyways.
  18. Josh Clason's videography is like no other. He is phenomenal. I wish he would do more videos! EDIT: I agree 100% with Allen's description of the addiction. I have to say, I'm quite glad hearing from someone elses mouth the way I feel. lol I thought I was a fucking nut. And I'm only on my second Datsun. http://vimeo.com/42180356
  19. Like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/350555940310?_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&item=350555940310&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT&vxp=mtr#ht_1753wt_1163
  20. It's been done and it works! Doesn't take much to turn over a Datsun. lol Go for a standard cheap 26 series battery. Just don't buy it from Autozone. Go to sears.
  21. I love both. The 15's are gonna make highway driving easier with higher MPG also.
  22. Damn, it's been a crazy month so far. RIP
  23. 24 series was stock for all Datsuns IIRC. Their price/rating makes them a good choice. They're a little larger then some, but they yield a very decent bit of power for the price. Although like GGzilla said, 26 series is a pretty good choice. If you're going for lightweight, 51/51R series is where to look. If you want power, go Optima Yellow. Autozone's Duralast batteries are some of the most popular lead/acid battery on the market and have a good life span if you take care of them. You can even buy a Duralast AGM battery with a similar design to Optima's for a fraction of the cost. Usually about $134 vs. $209 for the comparable Optima.
  24. Doesn't appear so, however if it ever was, it's been sanded off by now with all the sanding. I don't think it ever was though. Would look even nicer on your car ;)
