Went to the JY. Got clutch master and slave for my bro's KC project tonight, his crapped out. Got the lash pads I neglected to grab when I pulled the monster performance cam outta one of the 620s at PnP. Clearanced my bumper for the new lower radiator hose. Replaced connector for temp sensor wire :) Daydreamed about how sweet it's gonna be when I get the dual webbers on my 620. All I need at this point is another webber, got all else. Thought about putting the cam in and putting on white doors, then chickened out. Love my truck but the bitch is spoiled.

I went to jy. Got a buncha parts. Installed rubber grommet for damn hood prop so it will stop falling on toes upon opening hood! Installed retaining ring for headlight switch. Got both connectors for fuse bank. Did some testing and then replaced my aftermarket steering wheel with a stock one off a 74 280z, now my blinkers have returnability (very cool).

There's 2 kinds of 620 trans. short and long tail, you can measure to determine. If yours has correct driveline and trans mount for the trans going in, you're good to go. Or you can make a different trans mount work, and shorten driveline if you need to use incorrect length trans.

We mounted a deck in my buddy's KC. It seemed to sit good without much work, and the heat has't hurt anything w/i the 2 years it been in.

I replaced the driver window regulator, inner and outer window seals, and cleaned up the wires hanging everywhere under the dash. I removed the clamshell off the column cuz it looks better without. But that left me no place to mount the ign switch. So... Since I quit smoking tobacco, I deleted the cig lighter, and mounted the ign switch in place of it! It looks real nice. Ran out of daylight. I'll soon be installing the new speedo cable so I can finally see how fast I'm going (that'll be wierd...) and install the new fan shroud. I wish I could have money to pay the bills, but still have all day to tinker with my 620.

Sounds like a hoot. Providing I remedy my charging issue, I should be expected next week.

Moedatto, u da man! My wiring got cut to #%&t by the PO, I got no idiot light stuff. Thanks to your input, I located the stubs of the wires (tucked into secret nooks) for my oil pressure, and temperature. Much appreciated.

I picked this trans up awhile ago, it's goin' in my friend's 620kc. It's the short tail.

I saw some NOS kingpin stuff on PDX CL recently. He been re-posting for awhile w/ lower and lower price, but can't find the ad no more. If it pops back up I'll get info for ya ( I search "Datsun" on CL at least 2x a day :D) Point being, there's still NOS out there, just $$$. Also saw 2 rolling chassis FS, get a newer 620 frame, and u can have front disk and crap.

Still on the edge of my seat to see that truck come together. If you havn't checked already, this guy's build thread is AWESOME. Stone me, but I think titans look lame. I wish I knew what kinda rims I have, cuz the offset is perfect, and they look good. Or they would if the P.O. hadn't rattle canned nearly every surface of the truck.

Keep in mind, it's not terribly expensive to have the driveline length changed.

X2 wut pharouh sez, depends on where u located. In my area, $1K should get u something w/o cancer, and drives down the road. The 620 is a rewarding, reliable creature. I praise the day I bought one.
