  1. I got my 620 already lowered, and a few good mods for $1K. Took me almost a year to find a suitable buy though. It's the most enjoyable vehicle I've ever owned, wouldn't sell it for any price. Plan on passin' it down to my kiddo when he's old enough. The other trucks are sweet, but it's hard to beat that 620 meat.
  2. Well lucky you, there's a lot of PDX and surrounding area members on here. I'm starting a small brewery in my basement w/ the intention of using the finished product as bribes for help w/ my 620/KA project!! I get off work out in O.C. I do appliance repair, so decent w/ wiring. Wouldn't mind grabbin' some beers and checkin' it out sometime, but I'm no master. There's some great write-ups on here that would probably answer alot of your ?'s.
  3. Well done. Excellent thread. Can't wait to see the body and wheels back on.

  6. Too bad I already got one. Someone should jump on this! http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/ctd/2100260429.html
  7. Snagged a load of headlight switches and fuse banks. Intended to find a driver door as someone hit my parked rig ( it's too low, and too black, lol. Old ladies loooove to hit my truck at night :( 2x now in a couple weeks. Is now parked under a streetlamp where every theif in the hood can spot it.) It's funny to go to the yard with intentions on one part, but walk out w/ an empty wallet, and every part EXCEPT what you came for! Does'nt seem to bee any shortage of 620's in Portland wreckyards, as well as multiple parts rigs on CL...
  8. Last time I went, there were 5-6 620's at the Foster yard and also N. Columbia.
  9. Wouldn't mind trading for 620 stock green fender (L and/or R) or valance.
  10. Hello all you wonderful Datsun gurus! I'm new here, and the time has come to do your civic duty. No, not that one, your mind is in the gutter. I'm talkin' about helping a noob (like myself) by providing some insight on the challenges of swapping a 720 steering column into a 620. I know I can handle the wiring, but are there any other hang-ups? Can I keep my old ignition switch? During my research on this site, I found useful tidbits, but nothing very substantial. If some one's posted a write up, it must be camoflauged. Most of the details I found are in regards to doing a power steering box into 620, which I will do eventually, but one step at a time? Everytime I've asked for advice here, it's always been thorough and timely. One day I'll have the elusive answer to one of your problems, but for now...ANY insight you can provide regarding this project will be greatly appreciated!
  11. sorry, I didn't look at the date of your post. I'll keep searchin'.
  12. Any chance you have a driver side door that's straight? Mine just got hit while parked :(
  13. can you ship the driver door to PDX? mine just got hit while parked :(
  14. I just got my first 620, and I wanna put in some power windows. I have a few ideas, but would like some advice from anyone who's done this mod. Thank you in advance, you guys are great and I've learned so much from this forum.
  15. Has anyone tried "jacking"? Water freezes @ 32F, alchohol takes a rediculous temp to freeze ( sumthin like over -100F?) Therefore, you use different methods to freeze your wine, peel off the ice layer each time, and viola! Distillation! farmers used to make big rain barrels of cider on the porch, then pull off a couple inch thick slab of ice every morning until they wound up w/ "applejack" For any one who's never tasted it, YOU HAVN'T LIVED!!!! Can't buy it in stores... Too bad the NW rarely gets cold enough to try this naturally, but that's where we crutch on technology, right? Check out a book called "The Bootlegger's Bible" it's a must read. To the author of this thread, I've got a large batch of ginger mead brewing now, and some "grapefruit peelsnir" in the works. wouldn't mind recipe swap and the occasional tasting...I'm new to this forum, but I'll catch yall later I'm sure.
