The bed of early 520s do not have the provision of side or rear reflectors. Also, the bed wheel housing was redesigned to accommodate the fuel tank evaporator plumbing.

The original fuel pump heat shield had a woven (possible asbestos) insulator attached to the outside of the pump: I have fabricated a replacement shield: Does anyone have a recommendation as to what material can be used as a "modern day" insulator?

Foam back headliner is available in both 1/16” and 1/8”....verify with the vendor which they are offering. Also, it is possible to have non-perforated vinyl by upholsterers who perf leather for custom seats.

Autozone will test the alternator for you. That will give the answer of its condition. Keith

I believe LHD wipers rest on the windshield pointed to the right side, and have a kink on the wiper arm about 10 degrees to the left. I believe RHD wipers rest on the windshield pointed to the left side, and have a kink on the wiper arm about 10 degrees to the right. Therefore, LHD and RHD wiper arms are not interchangeable. Keith

True, there is much inconsistency in the 'model year" designation in state titles, dealer invoices, service manuals, owners manuals, and brochures. I defer to the VIN plate designation as the standard for month and year. (I do confirm that the stamped engine number and frame number match the VIN plate. I know anything can be forged, but due diligence and care are required when representing a vehicle....especially to other Datsun owners.!!!)

I defer to the VIN plate, as my states "Model Year 1966", the vin is "L520-002xxx" .

The front bumper may not be for a 520, notice the two bumper bolts mounted vertically in line with the metal reinforcements below the grill. Also, I do not recall seeing a license plate bracket similar to the one mounted on the bumper. Keith
