  1. The Home Depot product appears to be open cell foam. Consider this closed cell EDPM foam: http://www.autozone.com/sealants-glues-adhesives-and-tape/weatherstrip/metro-black-super-weatherstrip/191113_0_0/?checkfit=true Keith

    520 Build update

Charlie69, I do have tail light lenses. I left them off the truck when I transported the truck to the engine shop, I did not want to have them damaged or lost. Thanks, Keith

    520 Build update

The photos from today don't tell the story (https://www.flickr.com/photos/53116286@N07/28199284953/in/album-72157627613948205/). Picked up the truck for the engine shop. They started the engine after a 22 year slumber, fixed an oil leak, fuel leak, and repositioned the distributor timing adjuster. I am told she idles well after setting the valve leashes and timing. Now I have to complete the fuel one connection and add fuel to the tank. A great stride in the project. Keith

  10. Has anyone compared vent window channel profile, corner section and pivot hole position to determine if a 520/521 could be cut/re-glued to create a workable prototype? I do not own a 320, but sympathize with your situation. Keith
  11. I have never seen their Datsun/Nissan Vinyl Floor Covering Kits 68-86 Std Cab. This is the supplier for the JCWhitney carpet: http://www.newark-auto.com Please keep this thread updated as you make a decision. Keith

  14. AnthonyG214, I think you are missing a great resource by not posting progress and updates on Ratsun. The folks here are very generous with their knowledge and I am certain you may need their knowledge base when questions or trouble shooting issues arise. Keith
  15. http://www.mypossibilities.org A wonderful program, my nephew has attended since day one. Jim Arnett and I coordinated with Michael Thomas, executive director to have one of the 240Zs donated. Michael is a true Datsun enthusiast, he created the Facebook group Datsun Classifieds (https://www.facebook.com/groups/464479646940228/). If you have desire to assist people with developmental disabilities, this is one organization and one project you should consider supporting. Keith

  18. You may want to visit Garland Steel (http://garlandsteel.com/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1), they used to have a great inventory of "used" USA steel, not imported steel. Keith
  19. Consider letting Craig (ratpatrol66) know about these. Sometimes he will save parts like these from the blast furnace. Keith

    What battery to run

If you want to have the alternator rebuilt locally, then take it to: Auto Electric Systems Inc 11361 Emerald Street Dallas, TX 75229 (972) 241-2077 They have rebuilt my 240Z, PL520, and L60 starters and alternators over the past 25 years. Keith
  21. It is a wrecking yard, and they said I need a broker to handle the export into the US, which they said would be "costly". Keith
