    Should I?

The rust is worrysome. Remove the battery and examine for rust perforation. The dash cover probally hids a $1200 to replace dashboard. I'd pass and wait for another car that was better cared for. Keith
  3. I found this pouch in a 1967 Patrol I was parting out: http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream Is it an original Nissan part? Thanks, Keith
  4. Do you have a photo of the inside cover which shows the fuse circuits? Thanks, Keith
  5. After exhausting all sources for replacement window seals, I have visited with Kip Motors (http://www.kipmotor....lded-rubber.htm) about reproducing sets for us Datsun owners. I have personally seen the vast array of window seals that Kip has duplicated. It is possible that one of their channel molds duplicates the 520/521 wing window seal straight pieces. However, it may be necessary to mold the three corners to properly assemble a replacement. The part numbers I am intending for reproduction are 80241-B3000 and 80242-B3000 for the 03/1965-09/1969 Datsun 520 & 521. In order to proceed on this project, we need a sample pair of original wing window seals. It does not matter if the seals are torn or have dry rot. We need a pair that has complete corner radius and a cross section that represents the glass thickness. These samples may be destroyed during Kip’s analysis of the feasibility and cost of the project. If anyone has an old set they can give up for this project, please PM me and we can make arrangements to go forward with this. Thanks, Keith

    521 parts for show

mrbigtanker, Kip Motors (http://www.kipmotor.com/Parts/Moulded-rubber.htm) can duplicate the vent window gaskets. (I have seen the ones they make for Metropolitans and the quality is excellent.) You may want to call them and determine costs and minimum quantity requirements. Keith
  9. Stoffregen Motorsports, I have purchased numerous parts from Kip Motors. In fact, I asked them to quote a 240Z part. (see http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/thread41722.html). If you call them and make a preliminary inquiry about the 320 vent rubber I will help you coordinate the distribution of the parts. (I hope that if they can produce the 320 perhaps they could use the extrusion for a 520 rubber.) Keith
  10. Let me know if you need a J13 valve cover. I have an extra one that has rust holes. (My body shop offered to lead in the holes, but I used an extra I have on the shelf.) Keith
