  1. If you are going to refill it and your in texas I HIGHLY RECCOMEND, not converting to 134a, that is, unless you like being warmer than you could be, blowing up your AC system, replacing the pump, and still effectively having less effeciency and cooling power than R12 TRUST ME, the R12 is worth the money, It is also a more reliable refrigerant, and runs at lower pressures and creates less wear on the system, if its already converted to 134a and working then just stay with that, but if its not converted, DONT convert it. And R12 is not bad for YOU just the O-zone layer. But Mr. Ozone layer, does not have to ride around in a hot ass datsauna.
  2. NICE MAN!!! thats a long drive, I am guessing your car is pretty damn sealed to drive that far in rain, I just pulled my sunroof apart today to repair the rust on it.
  3. haha, I have done that shit too many times to count, a year or two later you always wonder "what was wrong with me?"
  4. So sorry for your loss, I lost my grandmother that helped to raise me earlier this year. My father has had 3 heart attacks (not massive ones), and he is 57.
  5. just my opinion, I mean on a side note, I would be all over restoring that beast, and I forgot to say, Congrats on the Dime.
  6. anyone who pays more than $1000 is seriously messed up in the head, maybe 1500, but thats the absolute limit of value, RHD z's are not as rare as I once thought they were. those carbs in that condition are only worth a few hundred bucks at best. and the body in that condition is going to take an incredible amount of restoration. I really wish people had some semblance of respect for these cars and did not leave them sitting out for 30 years thinking its protected by a tarp.
  7. damn they did paint over the top, who is paying 91$ for it?, wtf? you never screw up the original petina, unless the petina is under your feet/seat/fender wells!!
  8. yea it was around something like that when we had it done too.
  9. IDK how I missed this thread but this is sweet. on the RB25 oil pan, I would talk to someone about expanding the capacity to 6.5 qt and adding a baffle in the newly modified sump. this is what we did to my friends and it helped alot of the oil issues.
  10. that subaru brat gives you hella cred anywhere man, and I dont even like subies!!!, but brats are the shiznit.
  11. the 100k B) I pulled it out of the yard from an 81 auto, 67,7xx on the clock. hot tanked it, fluxed it, pressure tested everything, new bearings and seals and rings, and then its been sitting for 2 years. haha. $256 pulled
  12. so the new engine has 167,000? lots of life left is maintained properly. My turbo engine for my 910 has the same mileage, if you cut the 1 off the ... B)
  13. they emailed me back, it is not the Sunpha brand. they said it is another factory. I think im gonna pull the trigger on it if i cant find a better option, since it seems its my only option at this point.
  14. I run an Odyssey PC680 in my civic, but if I had alot of accessories I would run a PC925, the PC680 is also going through 8 feet of zero guage, and my civic is a 2.4 liter, not some 1.6. For the record, the pc680 works perfectly fine in my maxima too, but because I am running more accessories in the maxima, I will probably run a PC925 when I get the change.
  15. I see a crack in that pumpkin.......
  16. damn, I think I put the jack handle on the back of a wrench to get it off on mine.
  17. i tried filling through the reverse hole but I ended up getting the plug out on mine then anyway, I wanna to the fs5w71c swap JUST so i can fill the tranny from the shifter plate.
  18. I cant read any of that, what a jackass, I tryly hope he sees the ratsun stickers on your truck and gets curious only to find this thread making fun of his remedial english, cant write anything readable ass.
  19. so who's fault was the accident? I mean he did pull out in front of you so you did hit him right?
  20. what do you mean sunpha? this is the only one I can find. http://www.ebay.com/itm/310226938227?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  21. what I thought would be cool is if I were to replace it all with new Clarion stuff, just to make it like, IDK updated original i guess. I love the original stereo though, plus I still listen to cassettes so that might be staying anyway. it was pretty advanced back in the day though, I would like to replace it with components and use the original locations in the dash door and read deck, the car came with 8 speaker sound system, thats amazing for 1981, my civic only has 6 speakers.
  22. wow that spectrum rubber place actually may solve my issues with my 910 back glass, we'll see
  23. I was told that It will shrink and thats why you cant do it, because it will not be a continuous piece, not saying that guy was right, that was one persons opinion. Steele rubber offers some correctly sized stuff for about 4.20 a foot, but its continuous, no corners, I am seriously considering trying it...... are you saying cut the corners to stay in ?
