i scrapped a hilux like that about 6 months ago, it was soo SOO!!! rusted out, but it did have a good motor/trans, my grandpa bought it back in the 80's for 100$ just because it had new tires and he wanted them, it sat in his yard for years and when scrap got high the junk looked like gold, not much was salvageable, so i scrapped her and bought a 620!!!! , i know where a king cab version of one of those is that is in like new shape its sitting in a junkyard looks like it might run. the year i scrapped was a 77' but it think it probably rusted out in 87"

false alarm on the winshield wiper motor, i disassembeld the motor and found that the rust had caused the armature to stick to the magnet, a little sanding cleaning and painting did the trick, i would now have to complain that the wiper fluid squirts out TOO much im afraid the wipers cant keep up, anyways i still need the turn signal lens, thanks

i am in need of a good winshield wiper pump for a 620, i dont need the resevoir just the pump, also i need a stock front left hand turn signal lens, thanks

cant tell without looking at your carb and i am no expert, but if it sat for several years i would recommend rebuilding the thing, it could have bad gaskets or just loose screws, either way you cant go wrong by rebuilding it, it seems complicated but my thoery on complicated equipment is, the parts will only go in one correct way, any other way and you will know it, a carb rebuild kit for the stock hitachi will cost you about 20 bucks, take your time and try you best to remember how shit goes together, about a week ago my truck started running like crap and within 2 or 3 hours i took my carb off, took it apart, cleaned it, and put it back together in just enough time to go to wendys to get a burger lol, truck ran great, it was my first time ever taking the carb off my truck, much less taking it apart, you shouldnt have any problem, but be sure to work in a clean area with no cracks or anything around that screws or springs could fall into, i hate looking for that tiny ass part in the middle of the night, i would recommend working on a white towel so you can see all of your parts easily and so thing wont roll around, if you run into any major trouble i am sure there is someone here who can help :):)

for your fuel tank i would recommend dropping the tank, (very easy i dropped one in the junkyard the other day out in a field in like 20 min, hardest part was getting it out from under the truck once it was on the ground) anyways drop the tank, clean it up, take out the sending unit, inspect/clean tank as necessary, then if you arent running your egr shit cap off all the outlets on the top of the tank, you will only use the outlet that is on the lower right side of the tank, then after it is all cleaned up and inspected i would recommend painting it while it is out, (i used duplicolor bedliner with a self etching primer), now that your tank is good, cleanout/replace your fuel line, i just ran new line from the fuel pump straight to the tank, very very easy, if not blow out your old line with an air compressor and you may or may not have to use some wire to break loose any dirt inside of the line, once your done with that reinstall your tank and be sure to use new bolts!!!! before i had a real gas tank i had a boat tank in my bed!!!! how gay is that? i got a 620 tank from the yard for 10 bucks, it plugged right up and my gauge works great!!!! i didnt realize how good the gas mileage is in my old 620!!! good luck man an WELCOME TO RATSUN!!!!! i wanna see more pics

hey guys i was wondering would it be possible to boost an L20b using dual 44mm mikuni carbs? I have this set of carbs that i am going to rebuild, and i have a brand new motor that had 3 thousand miles on it and it was disassembled, honed, re-ringed, and re assembled, so i guess what im saying is new motor + carbs+ turbo, can it be done, can the carbs handle the boost or would they leak or worse, or could i somehow run the carbs before the turbo? i am trying to avoid swapping an sr20det and still gain some power, i had planned on using the carbs in conjunction with a web cam racing profile camshaft

meguiars makes a plasic polish called PlastX its not expensive maybe 6 bucks at the most, ive used it on cd's, headlights, ipods, and other stuff that is plastic, i would do a test spot to make sure it doesnt cloud it up, ive had to polish 3 or 4 times to get the maximum effect, works good though

im sorry to say this and i dont mean to be an asshole but you could use some practice on your welds, if i was welding 1/4 inch plate i would run about 180/180 as in 180 inches per minute, and 180 volts, and yes a 220v welder, i use a lincoln power mig 350mp, and a preciscion tig 275 and 225 and can produce welds that look like they are from a machine, mig is easy in any position, alot of people think that because your mig welding something you have to move fast, YOU DONT, if you can read your weld pool good then you can go fairly slow and get awesome penetration, depending on what size wire you are using you could run a 3 pass fillet on those t joints and never worry about them breaking, from what i can see in your welds you need to slow down and use a bit of a circular motion with the tip of your gun, the sizzile should sound fast and then slow down a bit as you circle around, and remember practice practice practice!!!! good luck :)

i wouldnt have put the flakes down, you will have trouble later down the road when your searching for that missing screw lol, your concrete is going to crack, that garage is what at least 20'x20' and concrete is supposed to be cut in a 10'x10' square maximum, sorry dude

go to oreilys and get a can of red kote its made by dupont i think, it is some pretty good shit and it wont break the bank, ive used it on small engine fuel tanks and never had a problem it leaves a nice think coating over everything just be sure and let it dry for 2 or 3 days before filling your tank, good luck!!!

that is the distributor the wires go to each cylinder and the center wire goes to the coil

well for $1600 i can buy a sr20det already turbo or buy a ka24 for $1200 then spend another $1200 bucks on some universal turbo kit and try and figure out how the hell it goes together, i would rather go with the sr20 and mildly build it and call it good, that may be what i do or i still might heavily build one of my l20b's, ive got some 44mm minukis but i dontknow if they can take the boost
