I've got MJ on my vw and you might also end up adjusting the factory curve a bit so be careful after getting the factory settings in. Also since your car is carbed you shouldn't have to touch your mixture any if you already have it dialed in. If you go with megasquirt and do EFI a wideband o2 will be your new best friend.

There are a few around. I've seen pictures of one that was in a fire that the owner just rewired and drove it as-is. Though in general roadster owners try to put them back to pretty. My car by some roadster owners would have been considered parts cars and would have been cut up. Mine is currently flat black and awaiting a title before it can be unleashed on the roads. Basicly you can call my project "a don't on how to restore any car." Fair warning though about letting a roadster rust. Might look cool but the body is so thin is doesn't take much for it to get out of hand quickly, I should know I just welded floorpans and rust holes up in mine. -
Last lowered car I had I swore I'd never lowered one for street use again after driving through Tulsa, OK.

Thats the price of the interest in them rising plus the Z and 510 have the "known name" tax as I call it. The average ricer knows what either of these are, I've had a few think my roadster is an MG or some random italian car. lol Though I've noticed the more people pay for a datsun the better its aftermarket supply is as well.

Guess I'll be dressing up as a roadster next Halloween. If any of you all do this, need to paint some rust on there and lower it with some good wheels. I'm already nerding out and thinking hmm, led lights all around.

Does the system have a backup battery or an option to add such on?

The ones I've found local are around 8-900 dollars used and the fiberglass is worn out. This should just cost me the cost of a cage and any sheet metal I use to seal the body up.

Some of you guys might remember I've got a baja bug, well the bugs body has finally bit the big one overall due to rust and dents from offroading. I'm having to choose between a full restore job on both the pan and body or loose the body and fix the pan only. I'm leaning towards fixing the titled pan and building a pan buggy. I've already got a good powerplant for the project with a 1600cc engine with megajolt and so forth. Sorta what I'm wanting cept add some coil over suspension, windshield with wipers, blinkers, and mud flaps to keep her legal. I've already had a ton of fun offroad with the bug as it was, but I think this will take it a step up as I've already surprised a few jeeps in the past.
