  1. lol, fish plate is the grill that looks like it has gills on the sides near the lights. Thats what it was referred to the first time I saw it so thats what stuck with me :P Just wondering, will this B210 sport no bumpers are are you guys going to go the JDM route? Heck, with y'alls skill, something custom may even work.
  2. I'm running 195s up front and 205s in the rear... I think you guys may be over-compensating :P Oh, and if you still have that fishplate grill from the blue coupe, send it to GA for me. I want is so bad! lol kthxbye
  3. 225 is wider than the rear tires on my 620... I'm not worthy!
  4. Anyone know if any companies still carry the oval port single DCOE manifolds for A-series engines? Pierce says NLA for the mani but has the single DCOE "kit" and Alamo says they don't know if they have a kit anymore. They are checking and supposedly will call me back.

  5. Atomic, do you have the part number for the ARP head stud kit?
  6. This is actually one of the few threads I've been watching lately :P ...But you're right, I am a no one so it's all good.
  7. Do eeett!!! But then we have to get my B210 running so we can rock 210s and 620s :P
  8. Awesome story. Thank you for sharing and thank your grandfather for his contributions to protecting our nation. It's sad to see that your father didn't have as much respect for Zero as you did, but with determination I'm sure you will be able to create more memories. If I'm not mistaken, you can source a rear end from a 200sx and possibly get rear disc brakes and a stronger differential. Are you planning on going back to an A-series engine? Good luck with your resto, Glad to see another Georgia B210/210 on the site.
  9. Yea, thats the one. Sucks about the 13s, sent you a PM asking your opinion on something. Moar pics!
  10. Yea, after some research I can run the 13" A3As, but not that wide due to the spring perch. Atleast, not up front, and it requires a 1/8" spacer or grinding of the caliper. That doesn't sound like the route I want to go. I really want the stance of that green 4-door you posted but I can't figure out what diameter wheels those are. Would you happen to have or know where I could get more information on it?
  11. Is it wrong that I am thinking about buying rotas? I really like the skakotans and can't figure out if they are a rip off of a rare wheel or actually a rota specific design.

Thank you Indy. I'm still torn on them because rotas do have a bad rap, but I've never seen rotas fail like other reps. Wonder if its harder to find hayashi streets or advan a3as :P

Nevermind. found the hayashi usa site.

dont buy Rotas, buy real wheels. At worst you spend a grand.

  12. LOL! That kit only adds about 500lbs...
  13. Oh, no way sir! Once I move to TN that will be my only vehicle. That's why I'm pushing to get it finished (moving at the end of 2015). I just want to have that stance. That's the lowest 4-door I've seen and that wheel/tire combo is perfect. A list: Bumpers 13x7 or 14x7 Advan A3As ZX Strut Conversion w/ lowering springs Composite Leaf Springs (prefer not to use blocks) That's a good enough start right? :P
  14. Wow I love that green 4-door. How do I make mine look like that? :P
  15. Will 280z struts and brake components fit behind 13in barrel wheels? Looking for the best possible front brake upgrade that will fit behind 13in advan a3as for the B210.

I have 13" A3A's on my wagon with 280zx struts. They clear the barrel Fine. Problem is the back of the face of the Wheel locks up on the face of the caliper. I had to run a really small spacer for it to clear, I dont remember the size but its not even a 1/4".

Draynor has Advans...280zx brakes. But not super wide.

  16. Love the drawing of your 620. Your signature pic has been one of my favorite examples of what I want my 620 to be. Good luck getting this collection going.
  17. I'm giving in. Going to get the B210 running first then dumping money into a KA swap. Wanting a KAE-R. Now I need to find a busted hardbody with a KAE to buy.

      Kirden

And why do scrap yards want $700 for a KAE with 160k+ miles?

ive got a twin cam that needs to be rebuilt if your not dead set on single cam

  18. Oh man. Those are awesome. You guys make a young man very jealous with all your cool toys :crying:
  19. That's a difficult choice... Love those vintage minis. Now if it is a newer mini burn it with fire and return to Datsun bliss.
  20. Sorry to say this, but it is his car so why bash his choice? Nice car and I look forward to following your progress. I have mulled over trying to stuff a VG30DE into my B210 but I'm not sold on it. As far as the weight thing, yea, it is heavier, but so is a KA, L, SR, ect. Most swaps will be heavier unless you go the aussie route with the G16 and vitara trans. I'm not sure but is the VG33E as light as the VG30DE? If so they are a very light V6. An L series with 5 speed, stock manifolds ect will weight only ~100 less than a VG30 swap using headers (you will most likely need headers to clear everything). The VG series sits farther back in the engine bay allowing for better weight distribution and you can relocate the battery to get more off the front. All that said, good luck 85720Bullet. You have a lot of work ahead of you.
  21. That's the problem, the datsun bug infected my wallet and left. LOL. I'd swear if I had more than one day off a week I'd be better, but that would probably be a lie. It's OK though. Hopefully work will die down be the end of the month so I can have both of my Datsuns on the road by Thanksgiving. Just need to stop feeling old...
  22. Awesome job DAT510. I just spent the last two nights reading over your build at work (shhhh) and this is amazing. I need your motivation. Want to lend it to me for the next few weeks? After all, your 510 is all good now :)
  23. Well, found out I have to work tomorrow night and possibly next Friday. If so that will put me at 56 hours of overtime. Time for a one piece driveshaft and matchbox for the 620 :)
