I was looking at doing a rack conversion on my 620.What i found out is that NO off-the-shelf rack will work.The 620 is just too narrow.Also,there is a critical area with regards to rack width and it is called"Bump steer".If this is not addressed in the design,it can get you killed...easily. After all that is said,a custom rack can be fabbed but it will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.:eek:

I would use some type of "captured nut" so i would be able to torque things tight.

I was down at my friends fab shop the other day seeing about building a custom bumper for my RAM and got to talking with him about welding "diamond plate" on the top of the bumper tube and a few other places. On the way home,i got to pondering(always dangerous).I came up with the idea of having door panels and cab panel(it's a KC) made from aluminum "diamond plate" and then powdercoating to match the tail light bezels & bumper. Thoughts?

I've powdercoated my entire T-stat housing.If this doesn't stop the corrosion process,it'll sure as hell slow it down a bunch.

FWIW:I'd buy two styles of hats: 1)BLue with a really large Datsun "bar & shield" on the front(centered).620 on the back 2)Rat & wrenches on the front but a bit bigger than the one pictured.

If the timing is correct and the engine runs when the ECU is reset then starts acting up,it is looking for some type of "input" that is missing.

Find TDC. Make sure cam is where it should be. Then pop hte cao and make sure the rotor is pointing to the number 1 terminal.
