All origianal boxes, packaging, caps, valves, stickers! Exactly how there were sold in 1982!!! I'm just jealous! Hahahah its an addiction i swear! I just cant help myself! :rofl: and wellll it might be the 3 lots I've bought that I have no use for now..... Just won a set of 16x7 SSR Bang Vec IIs! Not my usual type of wheel but after getting those Racing Harts ive started liking the bigger old Jap wheel a lot more! And the locking centre caps a just purely awesome! They need a lot of work but will be fun trying to reco something a little different. Thats them, they dont look like much now, but have sooooo much potential. Im trying to decide on the colour scheme already haha tossing up between polished spokes with black/gunmetal inner sections, or charcoal/gunmetal spokes with highly polished lips. Kinda leaning towards this- this is the other option- Obviously the painted spokes will be easier, and personally I think it just looks a bit nicer. I would go a reallllly metallic dark gunmetal/charcoal colour though. Happy to hear what you guys all think or even other options for the colours? Quote Link to comment

Then put the enkies that have been on purple for around 20 years put onto my 610. 610 needs lowered now, but god it looks so much better than teh saw blades that were on it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Hardest part will be reco'ing the caps, and replicating the stickers that are missing off the top of the caps. Will a fun though! Actually really excited to get them and clean them up! I was actually looking to that, well not 24 carat but just gold plating the caps again, from what I can tell they were mostly all gold from factort. But im with you on that, the 2nd generation does look better hey. I think the extra details around the caps just make them. The only thing the originals have up on the 2nd gen is the little decal plate thing on one of the spokes, thats a pretty cool touch imo. Quote Link to comment

Stevexc Posted September 4, 2014 Report Share Posted September 4, 2014 These arrived today- Impul Pro Mesh 14x8-8 =) Theyre in pretty good condition, one has 2 little bends but over all pretty good. Spend a few hours today and got them stripped down, cleaned and one fully wet sanded and started polishing. Still needs its last to compounds but already a massive difference- Hoping to have them finished tomorrow =) Thinking gold centres? :confused: :rofl: 2 Quote Link to comment
