Stevexc
Very nice! What are you doing to your 14x7 +0 Mesh?? The 14x7+-0 and 14x8-22 meshies will both be pulled apart, centres acid dipped or sand blasted and powder coated (yet to choose a colour) The barrels will be wet sanded back from 240Grit to 3000Grit then polished to a mirror finish and finished with all new hardware =) Will be my 1st attempt at powder coating so hope they turn out alright Quote Link to comment
freetheoranges
Dang you two go all out. Where are you purchasing your hardware? Quote Link to comment
captaingamez
Tunershop.com, not alot of places have wheel specific hardware, or I have just had a hard time finding it. Tunershop's ebay store is a little bit cheaper than their website I believe. 2 Quote Link to comment
Stevexc
Dang you two go all out. Where are you purchasing your hardware? I use a store on eBay (based in Brisbane) so local-ish for me but probs not much use for you US guys. I buy in bulk so get them a bit cheaper. Although they only stock basic nuts/bolts, no fancy spike ones, or gold ones unfortunately. Quote Link to comment
thatdirtykid
Not the Japanese bling this thread is full of, but I just came upon a set if something different I plan to run on my b210. Gotti 140-us replicas. I have only found info on a few replicas and the originals are pretty uncommon. They are one piece wheels :\ They are 14x6 offset unknown, I measured at about +12, but tough to be accurate with tires on. I cleaned one up and its not marked for offset. They were on a 280z, but should fit my sunny better, although I may still go to a 7 or 8 eventually If I get carried away. The price was unbeatable too. The tires are old and shot, I will have them removed before I start refinishing them. I wish I could tuck those under my car, 215/60/14... yeah right 2 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Its easy to measure offset with the tires installed. 1. Lay wheel flat on the ground (outside face down). You can also do this with tire mounted if it is aired up. 2. Lay straightedge or straight sawn lumber piece across it, measure to the ground. Divide by two and you have the centerline. 3. Measure down to the flange back face. The side that goes against the brakes. 4. Subtract the two measurements. Offset = (centerline) - (distance to flange) 2 Quote Link to comment

LOL From memory sea shipping to the US is about the same as it is here (helped a guy on here get quotes a while ago) But yeah shipping sucks! 9/10 times its more then the cost of the wheels :S Still beats paying what people ask for over there though! Stevexc
Spend most the day today referbing these SSR Mk2s! Comparison of after the wet sanding is done- This was 80 Grit on the edge to fix rash and 240-2500 on the lips. Both wet sanded- Comparison of wet sanded vs polished- andddd final result- Still need to chose a colour for the centres. Thinking red or some shade of grey. Hopefully will have them all done tomorrow and make a start in the SSR Formulas Meshies which are waiting for me haha And a random shot of some of my wheels haha 3 Quote Link to comment
