DylanLes
My wiper motor doesn't work/never has on my 521. I found one listed for a 620, are they interchangeable? Has anyone tried the Mazda wiper motor conversion? I'm not too concerned because it never rains here, but would be nice to have a working one just incase it did! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Check the fuse. Check the ground. Check the switch. Make sure the wiper can't be fixed first. 3 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
No on the 620 fitting. There is a write up on Ratsun about the Mazda wiper swap but I think it was for a 510. 1 Quote Link to comment

Crashtd420
And I just double checked my wiring and it the same as shown. 4plug, plus one extra lead.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
This is the wiring diagram I drew from Wayno's information. 720 intermitent wiper harness to 521 2 speed wiper motor For this scenario you have to change the wire placement in the plugs. Quote Link to comment

Replacing it when it's the fuse/switch/ground will be expensive and won't fix the problem. 2 Quote Link to comment
kelowg
Motor can be pulled apart and gone thru. Clean up the brushes and contacts. Then put fresh dielectric grease in it. Had bend contact arm so it rides switching plate. 2 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Are you sure your pivots are free/loose, the motor cannot turn something that is froze up solid. Are you sure you have power to the motor? I cannot recall ever seeing a 521 wiper motor that didn't work, but I have seen 521 fuse boxes that didn't supply power to a lot of things in a 521 unless you wiggled the terminals/wires, especially the headlights/park-running lights, first thing I would do is make sure if it did try to run that it could run. 2 Quote Link to comment
