G-Duax
Doubtful if that would work, since the original head to shank strength would have been stronger than welded. 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Doubtful if that would work, since the original head to shank strength would have been stronger than welded. But you get the added benefit of heating the bolt up to 6000+ degrees celsius 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
..... got stuck and broke off inside.... ..... But the answer is the bolt broke flush..... ...... my heart sunk when that bolt snapped... that's also why it's in three threads ..... Good luck welding a nut on. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jester
So my flywheel recently exploded.... Nevermind. 1 Quote Link to comment
Einbbx
It's slow going... this damn thing is some sort of tough I tell you. But it's getting drilled. Could t punch a divot I to it so it's not exactly centered. Never the less I'll continue carefully until I get the whole wide then use something to try and break it apart and remove the chunks. -Thanks all for your input, glad to have your advice 1 Quote Link to comment

Einbbx
Lol ok flexplate.. so how do I pry off that rear spacer, this thing is mucking everything up 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's just clipped on there. Usually just falls off with the flexplate. Pry it off. 1 Quote Link to comment
Einbbx
Got it off! Was stuck on hard, broken bolt was clipping it. Now for rethread.. either this bolt hole isn't 1/2 or my threading tool is not 1/2. Slightly aggro about this. Trying to find the right one to rethread this sucker. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Not half. It's metric. M12 is likely the diameter 1 Quote Link to comment
Einbbx
Is there a part number for those flexplate shims/spacers? 1 Quote Link to comment
Einbbx
Oh snap, m12 no wonder I have the wrong tap kit.. also I believe the part number is 12330 and 12333 for the back and front spacer (in that order) 1 Quote Link to comment
