hovercraft
For the picture above can I block that whole spot off with a plate? And the 3 wires in the picture. How do I wire them. The yellow wire goes to the idol hex looking valve and the red and blue go to the electric choke 1 Quote Link to comment
hovercraft
Can I block off the fuel return line or do I need that? 1 Quote Link to comment
bilzbobaggins
You can fashion a plate over the holes on the end of the manifold but you need to leave a provision to hook the pvc valve up. I would reckon you could block off the return line. No under hood temps there. 2 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Red should be idle cut solenoid. It over on the other side of the carb Blue is the choke heater Yellow? I don't know probably the BCDD solenoid. It's the hex shaped thing right center of the picture with the wires in front of it. 2 Quote Link to comment
hovercraft
Would I just wire all 3 to 12v? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The Red and Blue to a switched ignition source. Leave the Yellow. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Keep the fuel return line. Be sure there is a Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve (PCV Valve). This is a block off plate with the PCV Valve added to it. It is also a Weber Carb but carb does not matter but the PVC Valve does. Thi This is one of the factory plates used on the stock intake manifold. 1 Quote Link to comment

hovercraft
Would I just buy one of them electric pumps from that site for the year of the vehicle ? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Is gas getting to the pump? Is the tank lower than the engine? Any pump will have trouble sucking fuel up hill as it is limited to 15 PSI air pressure or less depending on altitude.. No pump made can suck fuel more than about 30 feet up hill. Get the pump 'wet' inside to get it primed and it should keep going after that. If you get an electric pump mount as low and close to the tank as possible. Output shouldn't be much above 3.5 or 4 PSI. 1 Quote Link to comment

hovercraft
Gas is getting to the pump but tank is lower than the pump but quite a bit 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If the connections are tight, once primed it should stay primed. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
pull vacuum through the fuel pump all the way to the carb inlet then hook the line to the carb and see if it will keep running I have to do this to my roadster if it sits more than 40 days it wont prime itself 1 Quote Link to comment

Draker
The oil pressure gauge will install between the dip stick and oil filter. Right on the side of the block. The temp gauge will install into the lower thermostat housing. 1 Quote Link to comment
