hustler620man
this truck was on Craigslist 3 hours away from my house and I talked to the owner and he said someone was coming to look at it before I called. I told myself, wait for a sign. Within that week I saw 3other 620s in town, and you don't see them around here often. So I took that as a sign. Im proud to have it. Plans are to make a Datsun parts and service truck out of it via vinyl. Im also going to change the rear man and rebuild the clutch. It's drive able now, just a little rough around the edges. I'm the third owner and it has 153,000 original miles on it. I spotted some kitchen chairs I'm going to modify as the seats for it until I can find a matching drivers seat. I took this pic after driving 3 hours to go look at it and made the big decision. This was after filling it up before the 3 hour drive back home with my friend driving the Toyota in tow! until I can figure out how to post pics I will let anticipation build!! Lol. I will start a post in the wanted section as well but I would like to say I'm looking for a set of seats for this or at least a drivers seat to match the passenger seat. 2 Quote Link to comment

hustler620man
I had to take the trim rings off. I'm not a fan or beauty rings. "Beautiful" kitchen chairs I might be using for the truck. 3 Quote Link to comment
hustler620man
Now all i have to do is fix a vaccuum leak where the carb meets up with the intake, fix a brake line leak at the front passenger side, fix an oil leak at the rear main and then I'm going to drive the crap out of it. 1 Quote Link to comment
hustler620man
I will also be using this truck to haul my other Japanese vehicle - a 1966 Honda CA160 "Baby Dream". 1 Quote Link to comment
Elkie
looks super clean, nice find. Not sure I would use kitchen chair in an automobile though. 1 Quote Link to comment

bilzbobaggins
sweet ride man. Also not to sure about a kitchen chair as a vehicle seat. Maybe something just for shows to add some pizzaz but seems kinds sketchy in a wreck situation. Good luck on all your work. 1 Quote Link to comment

No other pics of drivers side seat but I'm assuming it's Datsun/Nissan as the tracks weren't modified. I'm not a fan of the drivers seat. 1 Quote Link to comment
hustler620man
New option seats. Instead of using household chairs I'm going to get some bomber seats to put in it until I find a decent original drivers' seat. And this said Honda I'll be hauling on occasion..... 2 Quote Link to comment

DatsunHiLife
The paint is a repaint but they used the original code 103 which can still be seen on the code sticker above the grille. What are these bumperettes you speak of? Had to jack some photos off google as I havent seen to many of the split-style bumbers (bumperettes) on the 620. I would love to rock my KC without a bumper but the law is the law here. So I thought about putting them on mine. I personally like the tighter fit they have. Got them from Ebay in Thailand. Took a month to get here. I am going to have my brother fabricate the brackets. Guy I know says he has them buried in his garage but has yet to produce them for me. 1 Quote Link to comment
hobospyder
I have the bumperettes on little miss. From what I understand the 620 (520 and 521 also) came from the factory with the bumperettes all the full bumpers are either dealer add on or somebody decided they wanted a full bumper. Edit: nevermin looks like they just chromed my rear panel to look like bumperettes but I ain't been pulled over yet 2 Quote Link to comment

74datsun620
Before you buy those seats you should look at the hot rod ButlerBuilt seats, as you live in Tennessee so shipping will be cheap or you can even go sit in them before you buy and not pay any shipping. Plus they are safe and certified. 3 Quote Link to comment
hustler620man
I looked at the pro hot rod seat but I like the ones I found because I want a low-back seat. I'll just have to modify the rails to accept the seats. 1 Quote Link to comment
hustler620man
does anyone here know of any folks who makes the gaskets that go between the carb and the intake before I get the "Do-it-yourself" gasket paper? I'm also trying to find the grommet that goes around the steering column that goes in the firewall. 1 Quote Link to comment
sebpv
I just bought moldable rubber. I plan on making one myself for the column 1 Quote Link to comment
